My flight from Germany to Israel was canceled. The only alternative was to reroute through Rome.
So yesterday I went from Germany to Switzerland, from Switzerland to Italy, and from Italy to Israel.
Was it worth it? Absolutely.
“What is the purpose of your visit?” they asked me at the border.
The altruistic answer: I’m here to help.
The honest one: especially in times of war, I sleep better at night when I’m in Israel.
How do you explain that to someone who has never felt it?

The Toronto Police claimed that they were just following orders to allow Jew haters to roam through the Toronto Jewish community at Bathurst and Sheppard today while Jews are preparingfor Passover. They held antisemitic signs outside of Jewish schools, Synagogues, retirement homes and buildings. During the Holocaust the Nazis also said they were just following orders.
