@MoonOverlord Idk as a store owner and player mtg, pokemon, and ygo are dpubtfully going anywhere. They has been shifts to commander for magic but all three games have massive player bases One Piece growing at extremelly rapid pace as well.

my TCG hot take is every single TCG other than Pokemon is a bust and will either not be around or not be relevant in 5-10 years from now, that includes one piece, magic the gathering (already happened) etc

Okay yeah so this whole “cover the number” thing just doesn’t make sense if you’re going to sell the card because you’re gonna have to reveal the number to the buyer anyway. Once revealed, the buyer can simply not buy it and let everyone know who has that number.

@MaxTapera The game is pretty fun. I dont consider it highly competetive but it is the player game of all time.

@AriyaIsTheBest @davetron Tbf magic is like the only game I dont play but it also says may and is extremelly discresionary and immediate. Regardless of any other card games allowing it taksie backsies should not be allowed in a competetive level event and is very very and casual. Leave it at locals.

@_whenisleep @davetron For context, I’m very ban adverse from a game design perspective. My major concern is the Feb. State of the Game saying they won’t rules change because of power level, it possibly puts Draven Legend on the chopping block when changing combat fixes it without errata.

@_whenisleep @davetron Let me tell you something Riftbound Rando! If Riot doesn't do something about Miracles, the meta will quickly become stale! That already happened once when it was just Origins and it caused all the Nexus Nights in Rath's area to be ghost towns! Bans are necessary!

@Jeff_TMV @davetron Yes! 2-3 is prob too many, 1-2 would be fine. Yugioh for example continues to break records with these same "issues." Also same deal the people that get their decks banned are just as likely to jump ship as well if the precident is set that crying makes their $400 decks go away.

@_whenisleep @davetron I play Ezreal and I think Called Shot needs to go. If you wait nearly a full year (3 sets) to address a problematic card, you won’t have a playerbase. This isn’t 2000s-2010s era TCG where you only had the big 3. People will jump to one of the other 47 games.

@AriyaIsTheBest @davetron Huuuuh? Take backs are not allowed in comp play for any major TCG except for Lorcana. Pokemon, MTG, Yugioh, One Piece, all bandai games all dont allow take backs.

@_whenisleep @davetron Takebacks are a normal part of card games. As long as the player doesn't gain any new knowledge before asking to make a take back, no rules are violated. This is how it's always been in most competitive tcg environments
