Buddhism is better than Christianity in today's world. It's more universal, more logically coherent and more compatible with science. It solves all the same problems as Christianity, but far more elegantly. Not saying Christianity is wrong or bad, but its lore and metaphysics just don't make any sense and are indefensible when questioned even just semi-seriously. It's Hollywood-like drama to make the religion more emotionally appealing, but it also leads more easily to fanaticism and conflicts due its large room for different interpretations.
