A lot is happening today
after 9 years
got a car which won't feel a bit odd when handing keys to a valet in a 5 star hotel
I remember that being a theme for last many years, I like my Alto a lot, but I always felt a little hesitant when going to certain places where there were far better cars
as a guy barely interested in cars, or at least someone who didn't make his personality about the car he drives, it always felt like a slippery slope, because most of my prosperity is so much about luck
I've seen my cousins who have defined themselves by the car they drive, eventually being humbled by fate
the universe has a funny way of crushing arrogance & hence I was scared about making similar mistakes
anyways
perhaps the costliest thing I bought ever, bought on a loan
if you told us about being at this place 12 years ago, I wouldn't have believed you
I wish someone had told me I'd be as lucky, I would have worried far lesser & probably lived a lot more
as someone who travels by metro + auto all the time, this isn't exactly what I was excited about, mostly because the 90s kid isn't used to what he can afford to spend on
it feels excessive
in terms of a spend
it feels beyond
what I think I deserve
there's so many places
this constantly shows up
for now I am scared
to celebrate too much
fearing the fate
of my over-confident cousins
at the same time
a part of me tells me
that we did good
and this is reasonable
not too frugal
not too excessive
somewhere
in the middle
it's time for
the 90s kid
to let go of his
all-or-nothing thinking
