@roger @CapFriendly Nurse has been our second worst defenseman in the playoffs… only better than Ceci (real accomplishment). He has the WORST +/- in the 2023/24 playoffs.

With Cap going up finally the Nurse contract will age well enough. Most of that contract is bad because the Cap didn’t rise for what 3 or 4 years. Now $9Mil will be above average for middle six but hardly unique for any first pair. Is he a first pair no, but he does anchor our 2nd pair. Watch how many guys sign Nurse deals this offseason and tell me if they are all better than him. I doubt it. Campbell I wouldn’t buy him out. I’d keep him. Could buy him out next offseason though but that depends on what’s happening with his career then. Skinner needs a tandem.

My final MVP rankings 1. MacKinnon & Kucherov 2. Auston Matthews 3. Connor McDavid 4. Artemi Panarin 5. Sidney Crosby I legit think Kucherov & Mackinnon both deserve it. Kucherov offensive numbers speak for themselves. A lot more to the game than just points though. MacKinnon has more defensive responsibility and has elements to his game that Kucherov doesn’t. Let the voters figure it out. Not an easy decision.
