@fastquant0 @Arpe_DK @dhh This is the reason no one should listen "Then he should not really spend any time letting the most terrible self driving system ever built system drive." not because you have an opinion that differs.

@Arpe_DK @dhh So anyone who thinks that Tesla isn't amazing is a hater. Bro you are creating what is called an echo chamber. That self driving system is garbage because it is. It was a good idea and started out promising, but all the subsequent developments were a complete failure.

I've been a Tesla convert for years. Model X, Model S Plaid, Cyberbeast. But the Model Y we just got still blew me away! It feels so tight, so well built, so right. Unbelievably good car and good value. It sending an Aston Martin DBX 707 and Taycan Turbo S out of the fleet!

@ornith_ @_akhaliq Where is the Dense 31B model? I was on hugging face and on your posts about it and there is no link. That's the one I'm personally most excited about.

@pencildev will there ever be just an HTML/CSS export feature? I was using it a couple months ago for a day and it looked interesting but we use Ruby on Rails so we don’t leverage React. We could leverage the HTML/CSS easily though with skills

You know its funny. You make something for yourself. You release it, smooth brained influencers post about your work without clarifying. She posts a tiny clarification, but by then the damage done. A good person would have deleted the post. That would have prevented the creator of the best UI currently available for Hermes Agent from being falsely accused in the comment section. This is why I would never release anything open source. Open Source eats its own.

I applied for my dream role... FDE at @NousResearch I think I fit the "power user" description... 15 to 20B+ tokens, daily 9 AM to 2 AM. Been doing this unofficially for months with Hermes-Workspace.com (4,600+ ⭐ / 100K+ clones). Onboarding users to Hermes Agent daily, helping with agent swarms, skills, and orchestration patterns. If given the shot, I'd do it officially.
Tommy@yeahfortommy

looking for someone to help us bring Hermes agent to the world. if you're a hermes agent power user and want to help others become one as well, hit my dms or email us to apply! more info on the forward deployed engineer role: nousresearch.com/forward-deploy…

nothing i can do about 6 apps/services being down right now (see: @railway outage), but here's my plan for in the morning after i've had a fresh night of sleep... 1. move all web services to @Hetzner_Online 2. move all postgres databases to @digitalocean 3. manage it all with @hatchboxio i've got this exact stack for other things, so i'm exceedingly comfortable with it. will just be scaling it all up to handle more apps. all of the affected apps are rails + postgres.

@Teknium that’s the real reason. Intelligence is the new class system. Anyone who is “approved” automatically is a winner; for safety of course, but that’s not really true. It’s amazing how little people have talked about Mythos; they have no idea what the consequences are. Most people just don’t see the train until it’s on top of them. Mythos is the first leak in the dam that is AI as a benefit to society.

Anthropic's terrible safety situation is making it so that I cannot have Opus review p0 issues in Hermes Agent to review and help fix security issues. This does nothing but give hackers an asymmetric advantage over everyone - they will find jailbreaks, they will find ways around this to exploit systems - and the rest of us are locked out of using AI to protect from them. What a joke

@mmxyzzzz @museummommy @SawyerMerritt @SpaceX This is a worry. If Tesla merges before Optimus and Cyber Cab are fully baked our risk gets diluted. So if it happens in less 2 years it’ll suck unless the premium is astronomical.

I did this a couple months ago when I was using MinMax and since it’s just processes text, and I wanted it be able to send voice notes so I told the AI when you receive audio or photos, then send it to my LMstudio API for processing. It worked well enough but was just fun as an experiment; not really productive. I prefer using Codex or Gemma for multi-modal instead of MinMax.

Why do people feel someone still collecting a paycheque for free should be given the opportunity to work for someone else @BruceMcCurdy? I don’t know why people play this out like he’s a victim. Also I think he can cancel his contract under employment law he is likely able to take them to court and have the contract cancelled as illegal.

@Fan6969Sens @GreeceIceHockey @spittinchiclets It’s an embellishment and it was deliberate contact by the player. Both can be true at the same time, but most referees don’t care too much about a goalie embellishing vs being run in game 7

I’m looking @ RundownAI and wondered does anybody have any AI communities they would actually recommend because they’re elite for networking, elite for courses? Paid communities only that are premium focused.

@wesbos Most of the USB C ports pulling off 12V are stuck at 2.5 amps which is kind of why they suck. You can wire better options, I did so in my truck - but the reason has to do with them being cheap about the harness.

I gave up with this, and I'm returning the computer. Here is what I did: 1. Updated the BIOS 2. Updated the EC 3. Added Geekom's recommended boot parameters to the kernel Since none of that worked, I tried to disable 'suspend' completely, but I couldn't. There was always a situation when the computer went to sleep and died. It's unfortunate, but this makes it unusable for me.
Santiago@svpino

Turns out, Linux can't put this computer to sleep. Apparently, there's a bug and no solution. I've spent two days trying to disable sleep, but any time I lock the computer, it dies. This is exactly the problem with Linux: most hardware makers just don't care.

Its official, this is a war against Hermes. I'm now running over 200 benchmarks Hermes vs Spettro First proof is that Hermes doesn't support many AI providers Hermes doesn't support Grok. How can they post on X if their own tool is not capable of leveraging the amazing @grok features? Spettro supports grok since v0.1, don't let them fool you, the limited amount of providers means a limited amount of capabilities. Spettro gets another point against Hermes.

Ok. The non-partisan view. Left: subsidies will make things more accessible. What happens is demand increases and ancillary events make this untrue. In education what happens is prices rise. In Canada what happens is that seats to people with less economic affluence don’t make the cut. Right: De-regulate the market, but the problem is the market is highly regulated so this drives up prices, few lenders, few suppliers etc. If prices fell all that would happen is that educational institutions would consolidate or larger ivy leagues would accelerate what they are already doing which is eventually total domination of online education. The challenge is that the market is mixed between regulation; regulation picks winners, and consolidation which fixes a bunch of losers or regulation which always sounds good on the surface but typically makes things worse. Freakonomics I believe talks a lot about how actions and reactions can be harder to predict. It’s not directly related but it may help you envision how situations like this can go terribly wrong despite best intentions. I wrote this fast with my kids around and Siri so I hope it was helpful
