@WolfmanJack892 @MattWalshBlog Yes I've seen them both in action. Many things are debilitating and depressing but guess what people need help and care not being thrown off the cliff when they are standing on the edge. Most everyone wants to die at some point in their life, so now we just kill them?
English

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog MS and type 1 and even type 2 Diabetes can have some very debilitating effects over time.
They aren't easy to live with for many people. And its not what doctors want, its what the people suffering want.

All of the arguments for euthanasia fail. Even if I agreed that people have some kind of moral right to kill themselves (which I don’t), euthanasia wouldn’t be needed to exercise that “right.” You can already kill yourself. The idea that people need some kind of state sponsored system just to commit suicide is totally incoherent, even on its own terms. And those term are totally deranged because in truth, again, there is no moral right to suicide.
But that’s almost a separate question, or at least a question further downstream. When it comes to euthanasia, the first and most immediate question is not whether people have the right to kill themselves, but whether the STATE and the MEDICAL INDUSTRY have the right to kill people. Should doctors be in the business of deliberately killing human beings? Should we have a bureaucracy for suicide? These are the real questions. And even if you (wrongly) think that humans have a moral right to murder themselves, you should still be able to see why doctors and bureaucrats ought to have no role in it.

@serf9999 @MattWalshBlog Yeah I was probably too generous. It's depressing af

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog The medical field still has a last shred of dignity?
50 years ago I knew a number of pre-med students
With one exception, every one of them was in the field SOLELY for the money

@WolfmanJack892 @MattWalshBlog Ms, diabetes?? Are you fucking kidding me. These aren't even terminal diagnoses. So pretty much doctors are going to be able to kill who they want for whatever reason they want in your world. So effing sick dude
English

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog Help what? There's no cure for dementia, or paralysis, or MS, or diabetes, or many, many of the other reasons people choose MAID for themselves.
It's not doctors forcing people to make these choices, its 100% voluntary.

I can't shake it. The story of the girl from Spain has wrecked me worse than any fucked up news story lately.
Gang-raped, shattered, begging to die after the state failed her completely…and their 'solution'? Legally put her down like a dog in order to harvest her organs, while the monsters who destroyed her walk free.
A suffocating veil of evil is choking this world. It's haunting me. When does it end?

English

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog And if it got the greenlight... think of how many more psychopaths would flock to the field
English

@WolfmanJack892 @MattWalshBlog Yeah because they are lazy psychopaths who would rather kill their patients then invest the time and effort to help them.
English

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog Ridiculous. I don't believe you're a doctor, and if you are, it's not likely in medicine. Most doctors don't want long drawn-out deaths, and everyone I've ever met has been onboard with MAID as a necessary tool for the right patients.

@LuisSteeven @MattWalshBlog Yeah maybe he figured it out because of me? Dang Matt taking my credit
English

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog But I don’t think he’s that smart, in fact I think you are more and by a lot.
English

The "social conservatives" were right about everything. We have been right about everything for decades. Literally everything. We told you that if you tolerate euthanasia even for the terminally ill, even for the "extreme cases," very soon it will be used to put down anyone the state deems inconvenient or burdensome. And that is exactly what has happened, just as we said it would.
English

@LuisSteeven @MattWalshBlog Completely on my own. Sorry bud it was that obvious.
English

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog And did you come to that conclusion on your own or did someone help you?
English

@LuisSteeven @MattWalshBlog The chatgpt responses are tiresome

“Right about everything” is doing a lot of work here.
One case still disputed and suddenly it proves a decades-long prediction?
That’s not analysis, that’s confirmation bias dressed up as prophecy.
Serious question: do you actually want to understand what happened, or just score a narrative point?

I'm still baffled how governments are being allowed to kill mentally ill people. The N@zis did shit like this 80 years ago and now we're turning into the very thing we fought against.
Western civilization will not survive.

This is sick.
Medicine has no ethical bottom at this point.
Dr. Heidi Klessig@heidiklessigmd
According to her lawyer, Noelia Castillo Ramos cannot change her mind about undergoing euthanasia because her organs are already committed. Her lawyer highlights the hospital’s conflict of interest in this case, because Noelia’s organs are worth millions in billable charges.
