@k6lcsclint @SteveOnSpeed Kind of like the way they all prioritized the health of all of us during COVID? I'll be all those people dying of COVID in the hospitals still got their "infected" organs harvested

A nurse told me to opt out of organ donation because it might affect medical decisions, and not in my favor. Does this actually happen?

This is an apples to oranges comparison. COVID vaccines were a public health policy decision caught up in politics. An ICU team making decisions about your individual care is a group of specialists coordinating what’s best for you specifically. They don’t call in the transplant team prematurely. Conflating the two undermines legitimate concerns about both.

@akeith941 @MattWalshBlog The medical field still has a last shred of dignity? 50 years ago I knew a number of pre-med students With one exception, every one of them was in the field SOLELY for the money

@MattWalshBlog Doctor here - there are enough latent psychopaths in the field the notion of giving them the "right" to kill should chill us to the bone. It will completely corrupt the last shred of dignity the field has.

All of the arguments for euthanasia fail. Even if I agreed that people have some kind of moral right to kill themselves (which I don’t), euthanasia wouldn’t be needed to exercise that “right.” You can already kill yourself. The idea that people need some kind of state sponsored system just to commit suicide is totally incoherent, even on its own terms. And those term are totally deranged because in truth, again, there is no moral right to suicide. But that’s almost a separate question, or at least a question further downstream. When it comes to euthanasia, the first and most immediate question is not whether people have the right to kill themselves, but whether the STATE and the MEDICAL INDUSTRY have the right to kill people. Should doctors be in the business of deliberately killing human beings? Should we have a bureaucracy for suicide? These are the real questions. And even if you (wrongly) think that humans have a moral right to murder themselves, you should still be able to see why doctors and bureaucrats ought to have no role in it.

11 million. That’s the official US government estimate for illegals in America. Yes, that’s true. It’s absurd. It’s an insult to our intelligence. The Biden Administration let in more than 11 million alone. If you had to guess how many illegals are in America?

@KyzerBengal @CynicalPublius @dogsoftheshire Tariffs were used before 1913 As I said, gov't works better when it's starving Federal gov't is far too bloated Fraud, graft, foreign aid (& wars), welfare for rich & poor alike Well, you're a busy man, making much more than me even with your simple taxes, so I'm done here. Bye

The idea of taxes on unrealized capital gains for illiquid assets is the stupidest economic policy ever dreamed up. It would be an economy-destroying measure that would basically eliminate the concept of privately owned companies (i.e., companies with equity not traded on the public markets). The death of private companies would result in the death of the major innovation engine that has made the USA the greatest economy in the world. Had such a scheme existed 50 years ago, Apple, Meta, Google, Tesla, Space-X, etc. etc. would never have come into being because they would never have been able to raise VC start-up capital. If this law were to come to pass, unemployment will skyrocket, innovation will plummet, standards of living will be reduced to third world levels, and capital will flee offshore. The nation will tumble into a decades-long Depression and none of the "social justice" ideas Big Chief Lizzie is speaking about will be affordable or even possible. This is the worst economic idea anyone has suggested in any of our lifetimes. But don't worry, Big Chief Lizzie will still get rich off of campaign contributions from the big banks and publicly-trade companies who will be the few beneficiaries of this nation-destroying idea.

Today, I'm introducing my wealth tax — and more than 50 members of Congress are joining me. It’s time for the government to start working for American families, not just the ultra-rich.

@KyzerBengal @CynicalPublius @dogsoftheshire I would address all those problems by eliminating income tax entirel But how would we pay for government? With the exception of the War Between the State, Americans did not have income tax until 1913 Government works better when it's starving than when it's fat

@serf9999 @CynicalPublius @dogsoftheshire My personal taxes are very very simple and I paid more than the average person makes. Flat taxes are fine. How would you address the people that are barely getting by? Or the people that manipulate their compensation to show 0 income tax?

@KyzerBengal @CynicalPublius @dogsoftheshire I noticed you did not answer my question MY taxes (just finished) are incredibly complicated (and I ain't Bezos). You would know this if you paid. We could eliminate all "legal deductions" (as I call them) with a flat tax, but H&R pays "favors" to politicians to prevent that

@KyzerBengal @CynicalPublius @dogsoftheshire "Loopholes", as you call them, are legal deductions Using them is not avoidance, and it is not illegal. It is just normal practice Everyone who pays taxes from the single mom to Bezos uses "loopholes", even if it is just a standard deduction Do you even pay taxes?

WATCH; DHS tells @FoxNews that an ICE agent saved the life of a 1-year-old boy who had gone unresponsive & wasn’t breathing while waiting in a TSA line at JFK airport yesterday. Video shows the boy’s father panicking as the boy goes limp in his arms, before the ICE agent runs over to help. DHS says the ICE agent assessed the boy, performed the Heimlich maneuver on him, and he began breathing again and made a full recovery.

🚨 JUST IN: Sen. Mike Lee exposes Senate Democrats after ALL 47 OF THEM voted AGAINST basic, simple photo voter ID "This was a SCALED DOWN version of the SAVE America Act, one that requires only a photo ID at the time and place of voting, and omits the proof of citizenship requirements." "Even THAT was something that every single Democrat in the Senate voted against!" "Now, think about it this way. Two years ago, every Senate Democrat supported a bill that contained a voter ID requirement. What changed? Why are they doing this?!" Fraud.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass unveils a new plan to combat the homeless stealing the copper wiring from all the lights in LA She’s launching a plan to replace 60,000 street lights over the next 2 years with solar street lights so thieves have no copper to steal “The mayor said at a press conference today, they've pretty much tried everything. They've tried LAPD creating a heavy metal task force. They've made arrests, they've done this, they've done that. But every time they put the copper back in the pole or back in the ground, it's only a matter of days sometimes before that copper is stolen.”
