@AnalyticsNinja @martechismktg I appreciate your prespective. The point is, old server logs captured activity on the server. Server side tracking does similar thing. Event on the server are recorded. No need to call a java script that triggers a tracking event on an 3rd party analytics app/server

@martechismktg @aknecht Analytics technology hasn't really reverted back to log-file analysis and almost all server-side tagging implementations do rely on client side interactions (including cookies). I think that this article misstates what the current server side landscape looks like.
