A wonderful opening emerging for Aotearoa-New Zealand to start academic research & studies-supported Wellington inter-embassy conversations on a new Asia-Pacific order in which all can participate & benefit? Something for which we could be ideally suited as a Nuclear-Free country, geographically remote from major areas of tension! @chrisluxonmp @chrishipkins @NewZealandMFA @vanushi_walters @PhilTwyford @DamienOConnorMP @MFATNZ @VangelisVNZ @HelenClarkNZ @Robert_Patman @davidcapie @JasonA_Young @GeoffMillerNZ @AnnaPowles @DavidRobie @TrevorJ24567534 @Tasmanviews

They convinced an entire generation that living with family is failure. Family compounds used to be normal. Until the psyop began. We were told: • Move out at 18 • Be independent • Get your own place • Do everything alone Result: • 10 rents • 10 mortgages • 10 car payments • 10x more debt Strong families used to stay together—build together, support each other, and live interdependently. The opposite of the "be independent" narrative. Let's normalize family compounds again.

This changes the game. While Trump talks tough on sanctions, Pakistan-Iran corridors are quietly rewriting logistics across Eurasia. Over 3,000 containers already rolling means sanctions evasion just got highways. Direct land links from Iranian ports to Chinese & Russian markets slash costs and bypass naval chokepoints. US leverage shrinks as BRICS+ connectivity deepens. Short-term win for Tehran & Islamabad, long-term headache for Washington’s containment strategy. Trade doesn’t wait for politics.

🇵🇰Pakistan Has Officially Fooled Trump and the USA. 🇵🇰Pakistan has now opened six corridors with Iran to bypass the U.S. blockade. 🇮🇷More than 3,000 containers are already moving through these routes. 🇮🇷Iran can now connect directly by land to Russia and China and the US can’t stop them.
6 Opened Pakistan-Iran Transit Corridors: 1. Gwadar – Gabd 2. Karachi/Port Qasim – Lyari – Ormara – Pasni – Gabd 3. Karachi/Port Qasim – Khuzdar – Dalbandin – Taftan 4. ⚠️ 🍜 The Hidden Danger Inside Your Instant Noodles That quick bowl of instant noodles might be doing more harm than we realize. A new study warns that eating them just 2–3 times a week can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes — and the reason is quietly sitting inside every packet. Instant noodles are filled with refined carbs, too much salt, and artificial additives, while offering almost no fiber, protein, or real nutrients. This mix causes sudden spikes in blood sugar and blood pressure, putting pressure on your heart. Over time, these small spikes build up into inflammation, insulin resistance, and rising cholesterol — all major steps toward long-term disease. Researchers also found something even more unsettling: the packaging. Many instant noodle cups contain BPA, a chemical that can leak into food when heated. BPA can disrupt hormones responsible for metabolism and heart health, adding another hidden risk. People who ate instant noodles often had higher triglycerides and bigger waistlines, even if they didn’t eat more calories overall. Women were especially affected because of how these additives interact with hormones. An occasional bowl won’t hurt — but experts say instant noodles should be a rare emergency meal, not a weekly habit. Fresh noodles, whole grains, or homemade bowls with veggies and lean protein give the same comfort without the silent damage. Your body becomes what you feed it — and the best “instant” reward is health that lasts longer than a 5-minute meal.

A truly "independent" foreign policy wd/b "beholden" to no one. It certainly shouldn't help one side build up tensions that can/will involve it in conflict with another. Best option: positive neutrality that encourages, & is available to help, build communication & facilitate dialogue.

Iran is unlikely to capitulate. Instead, it will adapt, operationally, economically, and strategically. Tehran has demonstrated a high tolerance for pressure and a capacity to recalibrate under sustained constraints. At the same time, global economic pressures are likely to intensify. Iran is unlikely to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz without meaningful sanctions relief. Continued friction in this critical chokepoint would contribute to rising energy prices and broader economic instability. When it comes to Iran we should remember: There is no silver bullet. There are no easy victories. I hope someone in the room told President Trump the following: "Mr. President, a blockade will not lead to Iranian capitulation. They will not give up their missiles, their nuclear program, their support for proxies, or their control over Hormuz even if the blockade will continue. Period." #IranWar
Gregory Brew@gbrew24

Trump is going to stick with the blockade. Which is, in effect, a decision to not make a decision. Trump will wait to see if the blockade works. Iran faces economic pressure--albeit the kind the country's leadership have a lot of experience with. Hormuz stay shut. wsj.com/world/middle-e…

NZDF are getting impressive value from shouting a trip to ROK by a naive 1News reporter who has delivered pretty undiluted propaganda on three consecutive main evening news programmes, buttressed by an academic expert. The audience back home is left none the wiser about the contemporary issues involved in NZ forces training alongside US counterparts to storm Korean beaches. Apparently it is all DPRK’s fault that there has never been a peace treaty and NZ’s dutiful participation is all in aid of a righteous “United Nations” effort.

🚨🇮🇷🇯🇵 BREAKING: Japan confirms its vessel passed through the Strait of Hormuz after negotiations with Iran. Takaichi calls it "positive." What she will not say is what Iran demanded. Iran allowed passage. But passage now comes with conditions. Reports indicate that tolls are being paid in yuan or crypto. The old rules of the Strait are gone. Japan's government made representations to Iran. President Pezeshkian listened. The vessel is now sailing toward Japan with three Japanese crew members safe. But here is the question Takaichi will not answer: What did Japan agree to? Was it yuan? Was it a toll? Was it a political concession? She says "free and safe navigation" is important. But the Strait is not free anymore. Iran controls it. Iran sets the price. And that price is no longer denominated in dollars. Japan got its vessel out. That is good news for the families of the crew. But the bigger story is how Iran turned a military chokepoint into a toll road priced in Chinese currency. The world is watching. And the world is learning that the era of US Navy guaranteeing free passage for everyone is over. Japan adapted. Others will have to as well.

This is horrifying and barely getting media coverage. Trump set April 30 as a deadline for the Zambian Govt. They must either accept Trump's new health funding agreement to have access to critical AIDS meds—and thus give the USA expanded access to its precious mineral resources like copper, lithium, and cobalt—or let its citizens die due to lack of vital AIDS medications. Zambia is 98% Christian. Christians will die as a result of Trump's extortion. Notice how MAGA is wholly silent? Barbaric.

Maintaining the blockade means severe further damage to the global economy. If that is indeed the “plan”, time for US friends and allies to start hitting the roof.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump just decided how this war ends, and it's not how anyone expected... Trump has reportedly told his aides to prepare for an extended U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The president apparently sees both available off-ramps, pulling out of the conflict entirely or resuming combat operations, as carrying significantly more risk than maintaining the current naval blockade indefinitely. This follows separate reporting that the intelligence community was directed to assess the risks of declaring unilateral victory and pulling back from the conflict. Both data points point in the same direction. Trump is choosing to settle into the standoff rather than force a resolution either way. The logic is brutal but coherent. Resuming bombing burns through more JASSM-ER missiles the Pentagon can't replace for years, risks more American casualties, drives oil even higher heading into midterms, and almost certainly fails to extract the nuclear concession Iran refuses to make. Walking away with no deal hands Iran a clean political victory and tells every adversary that American military pressure can be outwaited. Maintaining the blockade keeps the pressure on Tehran, slowly degrades the Iranian economy, and preserves Trump's leverage for whenever a real diplomatic opening emerges. But there's a real cost to "indefinite blockade" as a strategy. American gas prices already at $4.18 don't ease while the Strait stays effectively closed. Fertilizer prices stay 90% above pre-war levels. Global supply chains stay fractured. The Iran war might be morphing into a permanent low-intensity confrontation, with the U.S. Navy enforcing a blockade in perpetuity while Iran keeps boarding ships, deploying cyber attacks, and waiting for the political pressure on Trump to crack first. 🚨 BREAKING: 🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. military boarded a ship believed to be part of Iran’s shadow fleet. The tanker, the M/T Tifani, was boarded in the Indo-Pacific area. This comes after U.S. forces seized the Touska, a sanctioned Iranian ship, 2 days ago.

🇮🇷 Iran's President Is a Heart Surgeon Who Loves Iranians Masoud Pezeshkian spent decades repairing hearts before he ever touched a ballot. He treated wounded soldiers on the front lines of the Iran-Iraq War, then spent years expanding health insurance to 25 MILLION rural Iranians as Health Minister. In 1994, a car crash took his wife and daughter. He raised his remaining children ALONE, never remarried, and still serves on a cardiac surgery journal to this day. Iran elected a man whose entire life has been about healing people to heal a nation facing decades of sanctions.
