The European Parliament has long called for the regime in Iran to dismantle its State instruments of oppression, end its support for proxies of terror, abandon its nuclear ambitions and finally allow its people to be free to choose their own destiny. The events unfolding in Iran must not lead to a spiral of escalation that could threaten the Middle East, Europe and beyond. The Iranian regime's attacks this morning on GCC countries are inexcusable and unjustifiable. The regime in Iran must refrain from any further escalation in any targeting of the Gulf States, Israel or European or United States nationals. We are in close contact with partners in the region to try to find ways forward that protects innocent lives, international law and regional stability.

🤯I lobbisti fossili sono la seconda delegazione per numero alla COP30. In totale sono 1602, superati solo dai 3805 rappresentanti del Brasile, paese che ospita i lavori. Per fare una sintesi eloquente, a Belèm si conta un lobbista fossile ogni 25 delegati.
🕵️♀️ Lo ha scoperto la rete Kick Big Polluters Out, al cui lavoro sulle COP ReCommon collabora ogni anno insieme a centinaia di organizzazioni internazionali.
💹 Il numero di lobbisti dei combustibili fossili è aumentato del 12% rispetto ai negoziati sul clima dello scorso anno a Baku, in Azerbaigian, e rappresenta la più grande concentrazione a una COP da quando KBPO ha iniziato ad analizzare i partecipanti alla conferenza.
🇮🇹 I lobbisti italiani sono complessivamente 17, con 3 esponenti della Fondazione Enrico Mattei, collegata al campione nazionale del fossile #ENI, 2 di Confindustria, 4 di ACEA, società che sta puntando con decisione su progetti per lo sfruttamento del gas, 6 di Enel, uno di Edison e uno della Venice Sustainability Foundation, fondazione con governance a guida fossile. #COP30 #KickOutTheSuits #KickBigPollutersOut #PollutersOut
