After that much-touted ‘peace plan’ by Pakistan & yes, the copy-paste blunder to go with it, just one simple question… where’s the peace now?
And where are all those voices that were busy praising Islamabad for “brokering” a deal and questioning India? Ceasefire didn’t last even a day.
Turns out, both the plan and the peace were copy-pasted... and expired just as quickly.
PAK NOT A "MEDIATOR" BUT JUST A FORWARDING AGENT.
"Dalal" angle resurfaces as doubts over Pak's role are reiterated after a X-post by Pak PM Sharif to Donald Trump appears to have been written by someone else. It's doubtful that Pak PM would coin a text with the line "Draft - Pak PM Message on X".
We have natural wealth , we have geographical advantage .
If not for the corrupt system - we would have surpassed Singapore and Dubai by now !
Atleast now - the government and babus should realize the greatness of this nation and start to build !
@narendramodi You claim everyone is your brother or friend—yet when it comes to serious issues like war or energy, no one seems to be asking for your advice.

🚨 BREAKING: U.S. military releases visuals of the torpedo strike on Iranian warship IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean off Sri Lanka. Nearly 150 Iranian sailors are feared dead in what is being described as the deadliest attack on a warship by a U.S. submarine since World War II.
@RajapaksaNamal Have you developed selective amnesia? The massacre of Tamil civilians and the deliberate bombing of hospitals and places of worship during the Sri Lankan war appear to have been conveniently forgotten, yet now there is outrage over a single incident.
In recent days there has been increasing reports of civilians being injured in the Middle East region by missile interceptions and strikes claimed to be carried out by the Iranian forces on buildings, malls as well as hotels. Civilians are desperately searching for safe places to hide and take shelter.
Civilians should never be the target of any military action or war and we are urging on all parties to ensure the safety of civilians in all the affected countries including the Middle East.
The Middle Eastern region holds importance for Sri Lanka as presently thousands of locals are employed there. Sri Lanka also holds strong diplomatic ties with the region. The safety, security and stability of the Gulf region therefore is a matter of national importance to us.
Any action taken without provocation targeting civilians, economic centers or critical infrastructure is unacceptable and such actions only deepen instability and spread chaos and fear throughout the globe.
@narendramodi You often say that you are engaging with them. But what is the value of such engagement if there is no clear and firm message demanding an end to this unjust war? A true global leader must be willing to speak plainly.
Had a productive telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. India condemns violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and territorial integrity and stands with its people in this difficult hour.
We underscored the significance of dialogue and diplomacy in restoring regional peace and stability. Appreciated the Kuwaiti leadership’s continued support to ensure safety and well-being of the Indian community in Kuwait.
🚨 BREAKING: Apple has just published a paper with a devastating title: *The Illusion of Thinking*. And it's not a metaphor. What it demonstrates is that the AI models we use every day - yes, ones like ChatGPT - don't think. Not one bit. They just imitate doing so.
Let me explain: 🧵👇
When 9/11 happened, Iran was one of the first countries that condemned the terror attack. It even helped the Americans in the war against Qaeda/Taliban. Bush returned the favour by calling Iran, along with Iraq and North Korea, as an axis of evil. That was a warning sign. The North Koreans, who had the institutional memory of the devastating American bombing of 1950-53, moved swiftly to make a bomb. I would say they were smart. The Iranians chose not to make one. They thought the axis would give them deterrence while an advanced nuclear programme would provide them diplomatic cards. Khamenei even issued a fatwa against the bomb!
In 2015, they signed a deal, agreeing to limit the nuclear programme. They were fully compliant with the terms of the agreement. Trump returned the favour by tearing the deal apart in 2018. The rest is history.
I wrote this in June 2025: In a treacherous world like ours, nuclear weapons are the ultimate deterrent. If you make a bomb, make it, don't talk. Iran is being bombed not because it wants to make a bomb, but because it did not make one. It's too early to make predictions about which way the war is headed, but this one will have far-reaching consequences in West Asia. This is far bigger than the June war.
@RajapaksaNamal The path taken by then Rajapaksa’s govt was decisive military victory over negotiation in those concluding stages, not sustained pursuit of dialogue. Pretending otherwise risks undermining genuine reconciliation at home and moral authority when urging peace elsewhere.
Sri Lanka knows the cost of conflict.
Decades of war taught us how deeply lives, communities, and economies can be affected. We strongly condemn violence in all forms.
Global tensions with the U.S., Israel, and Iran affect us all. Small nations feel the ripple of every great power conflict. Disruptions to trade, energy, and supply networks can directly impact livelihoods, markets, and essential services. The Sri Lankan government must anticipate these risks, strengthen contingency plans, and support those who could be affected.
I hope all Sri Lankans living and working in affected regions are safe. Protecting our people, at home and abroad, must always come first.
Even in the latter stages of our own conflict, Sri Lanka sought dialogue and diplomacy as the path to lasting peace. The world cannot pick and choose when to care. Preparing for potential consequences, promoting discussion, and maintaining stability remain the most effective paths to security and prosperity both at home and across our region.
