I'm a born American, but I attended university in the UK. My first wife was British. My family roots on my grandfather's side go back to the Birmingham region.
I have a deep affection for and admiration of traditional British society and culture. Never a foreign nation to me, but extended family.
I'm profoundly saddened by what the British people have allowed the left to do to them. Your government is a criminal conspiracy against the public. If things continue, then centuries of British history will come to an end. The British people will be conquered subjects in their own homeland. And all without a single shot fired.
This is why America has a 2nd amendment.

When is the country, the whole world, going to wake up to the fact that this totally fictitious narrative, that taxes fund government spending, is a total lie. Money is a creature of law. Fiat currency is de jure, it is created when government decrees expenditure.

Give me strength: ‘Printing money’ is not the final resort for government spending - it is the ONLY way governments spend. Taxes do not fund spending and governments do not ‘borrow’ to fund spending. The Guardian must know this.

1. The Bank of England sets the interest rate, not the markets
2. All govt spending is unfunded. HMGov is a currency issuer not a currency user.
3. A govt deficit is a non-gov surplus. Treating govt finances like a household is the worst thing Labour can do. It will kill people

Statement regarding recent media reports: Frank Hester accepts that he was rude about Diane Abbot in a private meeting several years ago but his criticism had nothing to do with her gender nor colour of skin. The Guardian is right when it quotes Frank saying he abhors racism, not least because he experienced it as the child of Irish immigrants in the 1970’s. He rang Diane Abbott twice today to try to apologise directly for the hurt he has caused her, and is deeply sorry for his remarks. He wishes to make it clear that he regards racism as a poison which has no place in public life.
