I genuinely don't blame Toby for rarely interacting with the community because you could be as clear, polite and genuine as possible explaining completely understandable things to your community and still get shit like this dismissing literally all of it

@Nyath_rt Anime tem legenda oficial do estúdio, JRPG tem localização supervisionada pelo desenvolvedor. O ponto aqui não é "idioma original", mas sim o criador ter controle sobre o que é dito na própria obra, que se apoia MUITO em jogo de palavras. São situações fundamentalmente diferentes

Toby Fox não quer que o trabalho dele seja descontextualizado na tradução oficial então resolveu não traduzir. Ele tá certo, errado tá vc que fica há anos em média 8h na internet consumindo conteúdo e até agora não tem inglês básico.

@paziensa @TheAmreld @SlimerSlimy The unofficial translations exist because fans wanted to make them, he didn't demand it. Acknowledging that isn't outsourcing labor, it's recognizing a community. You're rewriting his tone to make it sinister, which says more about your argument than his.

Fato. A solução mais fácil seria dizer que o inglês é o original e principal.
O trabalho do tradutor é justamente deixar o mais fiel possível ao texto original. Você não precisa saber todas as línguas pra isso. Talvez no máximo ter um revisor?
