@paziensa @TheAmreld @SlimerSlimy The unofficial translations exist because fans wanted to make them, he didn't demand it. Acknowledging that isn't outsourcing labor, it's recognizing a community. You're rewriting his tone to make it sinister, which says more about your argument than his.

Fato. A solução mais fácil seria dizer que o inglês é o original e principal.
O trabalho do tradutor é justamente deixar o mais fiel possível ao texto original. Você não precisa saber todas as línguas pra isso. Talvez no máximo ter um revisor?

@denpamaid Não adianta. Brasileiro é carente, e essa turma em específica é tão intitulada quanto ignorante. Era melhor o cara não ter falado nada do que dar um bom motivo de forma transparente e franca, pois agora está até sendo jogado para xenofóbico, homofóbico e mais.

Toby Fox não quer que o trabalho dele seja descontextualizado na tradução oficial então resolveu não traduzir.
Ele tá certo, errado tá vc que fica há anos em média 8h na internet consumindo conteúdo e até agora não tem inglês básico.

i read the text, it is just not a good statement and half of it sounds pretentious and ignorant, an official translation is absolutely possible.

i've seen some people using neutral pronouns as an argument to dismiss spanish or potuguese localization but they also come across the same problem in japanese, and what they did?? they localized it. thats what localization is

@Cellbinho_crey Você está certo. A tradução do Undertale foi feita antes do japonês dele melhorar. Mas isso fortalece o argumento, não enfraquece. A tradutora disse que o confundiu com alguém já íntimo do idioma tamanha era a dedicação dele mesmo assim. Isso não é replicável por demanda.

@averagejack_ Novamente, a tradução de undertale foi feita antes dele saber japonês, essa "tradutora de undertale" que você tá falando é de deltarune, de quando ele já sabia japonês.
