Added airspace, satellite terrain, 3D terrain mesh, flight following and more in the latest release of my 3D adsb tool: air loom. This has been such a fun project. The community has been awesome!

@GalvinAlmanza Because they know it’s a ridiculous argument to begin with. What this argument really sidesteps is that the new wave of attorneys will be armed with AI. You’re probably looking at a collapse of the costly middle market, not the big firms, and certainly not the bottom.

What’s the point of building a product, funding a startup, doing anything, or even existing, if AI will eventually be capable of doing everything?

Clearly the answer is the 1970s. Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba are on the front page. An impending oil disruption so reminiscent of the embargo that you can hear history rhyming. Rampant drug issues in the urban centers. Uptick in nationalism. Shit sense of fashion. People love to encode the 30s, but where is the preceding world war? Where is the isolation of the East? Which major power centers have retreated form the world stage due to political revolution? What new ideologies, or breakthroughs in physics have been as groundbreaking as Marxism and the splitting of the atom?

Someone asked what past decade seems most similar to the current one. I said the 1930s. Great progress in technology, combined with corrupt, autocratic, populist political leaders.

Lately, whenever I open this app and see the latest tricks, and hacks, and notes, and workflows, and spec here and skill there, I can't help but think: All of this will be washed away by the models. Every Markdown file that's precious to you right now will be gone.

@zachtratar This whole narrative feels like when they were trying to tell us robots would imminently be doing our dishes

@hyprturing I always think about this with traffic lights. Just put an LLM in that thing and have it make the common sense decisions, like I’m the only one here rn! This is probably an ancient, pre-driverless car mentality

i think chips with burnt-in LLMs that run at a very low power will probably result in much of the world around us being unneccesarily intelligent. cheaper to throw that chip and some flash with a readme into an automatic door opener than develop firmware for it.

I picked up a book of Picasso prints yesterday. Maestros like this know color theory at a level that just blows my mind. It inspired me to make this tool that not only builds a color palette from an image, but renders live, and lets you adjust how algo selects colors from an image. Good artists borrow and great ones steal. So I’m going to start stealing the color palette from the best of the best.

@TheOriginaliTE This is why they should make blended experiences for places like racquetball courts. They’re basically the same dimensions and they’re in every city. You could make some pretty cool multiplayer experiences in them.

Just visited Joshua Tree and stood on the exact rock used for the Vision Pro environment scan 🌴 The rocks lined up perfectly I genuinely couldn’t tell where reality ended and visionOS began... One of the most surreal experiences I’ve had 🤯 Apple absolutely nailed it. 🙌🏻

The “creator economy” has show us that most people just want jobs. While you still have the feral types in these spaces, endless numbers of people simply took a long route to eventually recreating a job for themselves

We are in the ZIRP era for AI tokens. Burn as many as you can, and turn it into tangible gains while possible, but don’t plan on them being this cheap forever. A business prof told us “when you see interest rates this low, take out a loan. It doesn’t matter if you have a plan for the money… it’s free”.

Context engineering doesn’t matter much to people right now because tokens are cheap and you can burn them to overcome needing it. One day the token crunch will arrive. Next gen models are getting more expensive, and usage limits will be restricted. Token efficiency matters
