"huh English doesn't have a word for the other type of cherry" "Eh? why do you mean?" "ugh... uh.. what's the word for cherry in russian" "вишня" "do you have another?" "черешня" "thank you" .... "what are those in polish" "wiśnia i czereśnia" (pronounced almost exactly the same)

@Anzelios @alexsakalis No, of course it’s not predominantly Turkish. Remember, we had population exchange. But the culture is predominantly Turkish or anatolian if it is better.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis When talking about minorities and influence numbers matter. If a 20% minority becomes 5% its influence changes. If a 20% minority becomes 40% its influence changes. At least you finally agreed that the region is not predominantly Turkish just because a shop serves sucuk lokum.

@Anzelios @alexsakalis Oh, i get it you’re stuck with the numbers you think having a predominant culture has something to do with the population. OK now it makes sense. Obviously northeast in Greece is not predominantly Turkish but the traditions and the culture is heavily influenced. If I may say so.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis So, Indians aren't even 10% of the population in Toronto but somehow Toronto is PREDOMINANTLY Indian? Goodness gracious...

@Anzelios @alexsakalis They kinda are 🙃🙃 their culture is shaped by them. The same thing goes for Glendale as well for being Armenian and Persian.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis Do you understand what the word "predominantly" means? Toronto is not "predominantly" Indian and Miami is not "predominantly" Hispanic.

@Anzelios @alexsakalis OK, first of all, not supposedly seen because I’ve been there numerous times. I have relatives there. Second of all years done with the same logic we can say that Toronto has predominantly Indian culture, or Miami has predominantly Hispanic culture. See its easy;)

@berfuzln @alexsakalis I am giving you the reality straight from the ground. As is. You are arguing based on things you've heard, supposedly seen or wish to be. That would be like me wanting you to agree with me if I said Vancouver is Chinese and you rightly saying that's not the case.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis Just because there used to be Greek culture in Asia Minor that doesn't mean that there necessarily is a "predominantly" Turkish culture is the area we are talking about. There are a few Turks in some villages. But they are so few they are far from "predominant".

@Anzelios @alexsakalis Again the culture. The influence on everyday language customs everything. For example, in many Turkish coastal cities there’s a predominantly Greek culture even in the words they use and the food they eat.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis Sure. But how does that make the region we are talking about "predominantly Turkish"? That's like saying Vancouver is "predominantly Chinese" because there is a significant minority of Chinese who do their own thing there.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis Sorry, but you are absolutely wrong. If your husband hits you, that doesn't mean I don't have a family. Wake up and smell the roses. Try to understand the sick culture you live in instead of trying to deflect by stupid psychology assesments when you are hard pressed by facts

@christoskalt @alexsakalis Look, I’m not the one who has a fake account. Who’s only objective is to talk shit about another country. You act like a fucking 13 year-old computer bound autistic teen. Go get a life go get a girlfriend. This is pathetic you’re sick and you need to be institutionalized.

@Anzelios @alexsakalis So? And some are influenced by the culture They’d lived hundreds of years with. You’re talking like culture is shaped merely by the geography not by anything else.

@berfuzln @alexsakalis Greeks were scattered across the Mediterranean for millennia prior to the foundation of the Greek state. Pontics differ from Cretans. Egyptiotes differ from Epirotes. Cypriots differ from Thracians. Islanders differ from Macedonians. All regions are different. So?
