@AviBenlolo What utter nonsense and drivel when seen in the wider context of Israeli oppression and brutality towards 10,000s of Palestinian civilians, 2 million who are now homeless. You have nothing to say about this and try to smear Pedro who is one of the few western leaders with morals

The Abraham Global Peace Initiative (AGPI) condemns the actions of Pedro Sánchez, who has crossed every diplomatic line by withdrawing Spain’s ambassador from Israel while reopening its embassy in Tehran. His call on the European Union to suspend its Association Agreement with Israel further underscores a deeply troubling and one-sided agenda. Such moves reflect a profound moral inversion at a time requiring clarity and leadership. His harsh anti-Israel rhetoric says far more about his political posture than it does about Israel. AGPI urges Spain to reconsider this dangerous course.

@GypsyBoots8 @SmollettMatthew @ClarkeMicah Will that be the buffer zone that extends into Syria, Golan heights , East Jerusalem etc etc. Gaza although "handed back" essentially remained under Israeli control.

@binglybongly @SmollettMatthew @ClarkeMicah Israel doesn't "covet territory," it only needs the buffer zone in Lebanon to stop daily rocket attacks on it from right next door. It handed back Sinai, evacuated Gaza and learned a hard lesson.

“Is it the case that what you want to see is the Israeli Army and the United States Army actually invade Iran?” “Do you think negotiations with a regime as genocidal and sadistic as Iran…do you think that’s going to be effective?” @ClarkeMicah and @realzoestrimpel debate the effectiveness of war in Iran.

@GypsyBoots8 @SmollettMatthew @ClarkeMicah Well it certainly does have reason to along side its non compliant neighbour israel. It has seen Israeli attacks for decades who do covet nearby territory and have demonstrated that.

@GypsyBoots8 @SmollettMatthew @ClarkeMicah In good faith you say. Is that the good faith that allows Israel to have undeclared nuclear weapons absent of any international inspections and not a member of the NNPT ?

@SmollettMatthew @ClarkeMicah But Iran was steadily pursuing a nuclear weapon long before anyone "punched" it, during rapprochements and sanctions alike. They never complied in good faith with restrictions. Just like North Korea.

@Tim54242076 @ClarkeMicah @nytimes Blah blah blah. The usual excuses for the continuing war crimes which have amassed a death toll in tbe 10,000s across the region. It's pathetic and no longer convincing.

@ClarkeMicah @nytimes Iran (primarily through its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or IRGC, and the Basij paramilitary) has a documented history and ongoing pattern of embedding military assets, personnel, command activities, and equipment in or near civilian structures such as schools, hospitals.

@ZardSi @AriFleischer Your defense minister Khwaja Asif who is an inbred & rabid jihadi antisemite, threatened Israel 🇮🇱 on X. When Israel responded, your coward Defense Minister ran away with his tail tucked between his legs and deleted his post. Nobody trusts your Shithole Terrorist nation.

There is good reason to worry about the safety of our negotiators in Pakistan. The country is armed and dangerous and the government is not fully in control. Previous high level visits were short and they involved decoy aircraft, as when then-President Clinton surreptitiously changed airplanes so no one would know which one he was on. The USSS did not like President Bush going there in 2006. The Secret Service will be tested this trip. So too will the military that supports this mission. Pray for the safety of our negotiators, including the VP, and for their success.

Israel signed peace with Egypt in 1979. Not a single Israeli bomb on Egypt since then. Israel signed peace with Jordan in 1994. Not a single Israeli bomb on Jordan since then. Israel signed peace with UAE in 2020. Not a single Israeli bomb on UAE since then (not that it did before). Israel signed peace with Bahrain in 2020. Not a single Israeli bomb on Bahrain since then (not that it did before). Israel signed peace with Morocco in 2020. Not a single Israeli bomb on Morocco since then (not that it did before). @Schandillia Israel bombed an arms depot in Sudan so your information is inaccurate. A peace deal isnt a ceasefire which Israel has a history of violating. Please be accurate.

Unfortunately leaving NATO won’t be to avoid foreign entanglements, we’ll be leaving NATO so we can side with Israel when Turkey & Israel eventually clash in Syria. This is after we helped topple the secular Syrian gov & installed a former AQ/ISIS leader as president. Time to stop playing arsonist & fireman in the Middle East, it’s just not worth it.

Good grief. How does Keir Starmer manage to be SO wrong about EVERYTHING?
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Sir Keir Starmer interview with @Peston * Says Israeli airstrikes against Lebanon are 'wrong' and should not be happening "Let me be really clear about it. They're wrong and they shouldn't be happening. That's my strong view. The question isn't a technical one of whether it's a breach of the agreement [the ceasefire] or not. [It is] actually a matter of principles as far as I'm concerned." * The UK is monitoring the US use of British bases to ensure they are not conducting "offensive" strikes 'From the get-go we've been monitoring this situation so I'm pretty clear on my own mind about what we've agreed and what the use of the bases are and that is a really important point of principle because we have to learn the lessons of Iraq' * Says he is 'fed up' with families seeing their bills rise 'because of the actions of Trump and Putin'. Argues there needs to be greater energy independence 'I'm fed up with the fact that families across the country see their bills go up and down on energy, businesses' bills go up and down on energy because of the actions of Putin or Trump across the world and saying to families across the country, saying to businesses across the country: 'we've just got to be, we've got to put up with being on the international market'.'
