Of course your club coach is going to tell you how amazing you are, how your HS coach is hating on you and how they can “get you to the next level”. You keep paying them thousands of dollars every year to be on their team…

I don’t even care as much about the private vs public thing. This isn’t about Principia specifically for me. It’s about the fact that we would have gone to 3 straight final fours if not for having to play them in quarterfinals. I’m fine with playing anyone once we get there.

@All_MO_Sports @rnbobbitt04 They never talk about Logistics or Travel when the State decides to have State Championships in sports in Springfield when participating teams are from Northern Missouri, or when the bid goes to St. Joe at Mo Western and teams are from Southern Mo.

@rnbobbitt04 @bonesnbeards3 Many options are available that are better than the current system. Logistics are still an issue but much smaller of an issue than dealing with what we currently have with having blowout after blowout in final four games.

@JeffBarnes52 I’d say it’s similar to how parents get coach speak at the beginning of the year about how the best kid is going to play regardless of yada yada. Then that belief and stance changes when it involves a school staff member or Administrators kid 🤷‍♂️

As an AD, I’ve learned most parents believe sports teach accountability along with many other lessons. That belief sometimes changes when the accountability affects their own child directly.

Teams should not miss the opportunity of the final four because one half of the bracket was loaded. Teams should not be afforded the opportunity because they were on the side with cupcakes

We traveled 1.5 hrs for our sectional game. After districts you are talking about 2 games. A sectional and a Quarterfinal game. Getting out of school half a day for both MAYBE.

@Amanda_Renae81 Zero consistency. Officiating differently based on situation and timing in the game. A foul in the 1st quarter is STILL a foul in the 4th quarter. As a coach or player I don’t care if you call the game tight or call it physical, just call it consistent from the jump on both ends

The amount of biased reffing I’ve witnessed in high school basketball this year is actually absurd.

@Amanda_Renae81 Seen it several times. Watched a game 3 weeks ago where the 5 on the floor got 5 straight stops on defense and scored on every one of the ensuing offensive possessions, only to be subbed out (all 5) before a single turnover,failed offensive or defensive possession happened 🤯

I will never understood high school coaches having automatic sub times every game, same kids. Just strange, subbing is generally based on a need in the game.

@ShowMeZou I'm not saying they aren't taking care of him, but tbh Mizzou is not high on lists as a job. Mizzou is fine but it can't compare to places like the 3 mentioned. I've been to every SEC stadium and LSU and Florida are on different planets compared to mizzou
