How about David Newman? Almost 20 years after his starring role in Dandenong's @vicpremcricket flag, he's come out today at the age of 43 and scored 102 from No. 8 for his team, Inverloch, in the Leongatha District CA grand final. That's 102 out of 226. He's a marvel.

@michelledennis We need to identify our best staff (or train) to support these practicum students. Even as simple as identifying the block of weeks ahead. Does the staff member have an uninterrupted schedule? Are the scheduled classes conducive to supporting the prac students requirements?

In the report, bad practicums can drive early career teachers out of the profession before they start it. In my experience, the heavy lifting of delivering pracs is done by teachers already under strain - I'm interested in how we can resource this better. #ACELNC23

@adam_voigt Absolutely @adam_voigt. Government intervention is critical. Education alone will not cure this. Watered down slogans is not enough either. We need “out of sight, out of mind”. Will the government have the courage?
