I'll always be the first person to admit how rough the organisation/communication at Money SMP is, but it is continously improving We are further ahead for Season 5 than we've been on any season in the last 2 years! 🎉

my opinion on this has always been kind of interesting so I think it’s worth putting out there Personally I think events that aren’t specifically on break should only allow members of its roster to apply to host invitationals ultimately this is just too much for a 3 week period

@SmthlikeAmy @PsyopP80781 that was partially my point - events doing so many invitiationals each much is what imo is driving this over-saturation

@bumpyJake @PsyopP80781 the main thing i notice w this is how many of these are actually invitationals, i dont know the entire extent to what each event is but from what i know theres less then 10 "in house events" across those 6 days which is in stark contrast to the magnitude of invitationals

What do people think of the over-saturation of minecraft events recently? 🤔 Saw this earlier and it is wild to me how many of the same events are running every weekend, do viewers/players not get bored of them after a while? ( Screenshot from @PsyopP80781 )

@SteveStreamsUK @PsyopP80781 paid entry is a very interesting point for sure i think if a group of friends/mutuals want to band together to pool the money to afford one of these events then all power to them, but i do get your point about that now increased barrier for entry

@Laqsters @PsyopP80781 i have liked seeing events where the roster has some kind of gimmick, using these existing events to make a more unique experience is great

@bumpyJake @PsyopP80781 there’s no downside to having more events, more time slots being filled gives a wider opportunity to remedy issues with time zones/schedules and gives motivation to innovate on and compete with each other

@ItzIgglePiggles @PsyopP80781 it is a new era, i just wouldnt want it to become the standard imo my hope is that because theres so many events that are somewhat similar doing this same payed format, that it will give space to highlight more unique projects even more

@ItzIgglePiggles @PsyopP80781 very well put i really do hope to see these events improve substantially from money they are bringing in through these events, to run 20 invitationals and then your next "main" event having little to no changes wouldnt be great

@Wraithzeon interestingly im seeing some people say that it IS the case that a lot of the events have very overlapping rosters

@bumpyJake At least it means people can't complain about events always sharing the same rosters - can't have the same players in every event if those events clash 😆 With that + people not applying to every event due to fatigue, there should be opportunities for more total creators to play
