The Groblersdal Regional Court has convicted and sentenced a 36-year-old man from Digoale village, Leeuwfontein, to two life terms of imprisonment for two counts of #Rape of his 13-year-old stepson, plus an additional five years’ imprisonment for sexual assault. The court has further declared the man unfit to possess a firearm and ordered that his name be entered into the National Register for Sex and declared him unfit to work with children. The National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson in Limpopo, Mashudu Malabi says the state led evidence that the man was in an intimate relationship with the victim’s mother, and they lived together in one household.

The police received a shooting incident complaint, on arrival at the scene, the members found the body of a 35-year-old woman who had sustained gunshot wounds. She was declared dead at the scene. #sapsLIM Mokwakwaila police under Mopani District are investigating a murder case that occurred at Matipane village on Tuesday, 24 March 2026. Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was part of a group suspected of stealing electric cables in the area. When confronted by the members of the community, he took them to a certain house in the area and pointed out two suspects who managed to flee. The community members allegedly assaulted the victim to death using bricks and fled the scene afterward. The deceased is unknown at this stage, and police are appealing to anyone who may have lost a loved one to come forward and identify him. Armed Robbery in Oakford, KZN A bread delivery truck was ambushed by armed suspects in a white Toyota Hilux D4D with no plates. The attackers opened fire, forced the driver to stop, and locked two employees in the back before stealing a cash safe and fleeing. No injuries reported.
