The only way we can ever discover true freedom is to allow God to free us. That can sometimes mean making our lives uncomfortable and complicated.

Our liberation begins when God acts in a way for us that we cannot.

We shouldn’t be asking “Who is my neighbor?” but instead “Who can I be neighborly to?”

The chances to lovingly serve are worth taking.

The chances to lovingly serve are inconveniently costly.

The chances to lovingly serve are inconveniently everywhere.

If you want to be religious, work on being good. If you want to be like Jesus, work on loving others.

When spend too much time judging how people got into certain circumstances when we should be showing them compassion and the love of God.

Jesus heals the outcast, even at great cost to himself. #PortraitsOfJesus

The way we pray can be either transactional or relational. It’s either “you do, I do” or “You are, I am.” Relational prayers bring us closer to the heart of the Father.
