A non-Christian friend asked me last night what I thought about the parody of the Last Supper in the Olympics opening ceremony. She wondered why God didn't rain down judgement on such blasphemy.

Followers of Jesus understand the true invitation: die to self, live to Christ.

The Olympic ceremony was not trying to put a clown face on Christianity but subvert it. Your seat at Jesus’ table is no longer through repentance of a warped image but acceptance of it. Falsehood, when paraded, will always feel like mock to those who know Truth.
