People hating on HYROX and marathons are often the same ones who act like armchair activists but have never exercised. They don’t realize how powerful body movement is for physical and mental health. Here is a photo from the last half marathon, after years of consuming anti depressants I managed to find peace with running and strength training.

At one level, the problem with Indian fiction is the same as Indian science. We tend to do our best work outside India. "Distance, for some, is not exile. It is oxygen.", is well said!
Sanjay Sipahimalani@SanSip

“When the most internationally visible fiction from a country of 1.4 billion people is written primarily by a handful of authors living in Brooklyn, London, and Rome, the version of that country that reaches the global reader is inevitably partial.” timesnownews.com/lifestyle/book…

Dear India, While you boast about becoming the fourth-largest economy, South Asia is on the verge of becoming one of the poorest regions in the world, largely because you are unable to resolve even basic issues with Pakistan. Your career diplomats sit at mediation meetings and begin by labeling Pakistan a terrorist nation, next time, try starting with “good morning.” Not that we care, but your actions are impacting the entire region, which is on its way to becoming the poorest in the world. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours sincerely, South Asian Countries

This is what happens when people like you both comment without basic analytical thinking. A quick Google search on flood control would help. The image I posted also has a wall—but it integrates shops and public activity. And no, it doesn’t randomly flood; there’s an actual mitigation system built into the design.

Any public space designer will tell you this is entry-level design nonsense. What could’ve been a vibrant public activity space is boxed in by tall, dead walls that feel unsafe and discourage people from using it. It should have been more open, active, and built for people, like in image below.

@Tweetin_ggg @bhaumikgowande The comparison is indeed off... Especially for someone who claims to know wayyyy much about urban design.

@bhaumikgowande They added wall so that the flood water from canal doesn't reach city area during rainy season.. You are comparing chicago with GJ when the former one has literally half avarage rainfall during monsoon.
