Oh but Anna, you don’t understand Western politics. They keep telling me I’m idiot. Maybe so. I don’t mind being idiot of things I never claim to be expert in. I never say I’m expert on politics in Ireland. In fact beyond my modest area of understanding, I am happy to admit I don’t understand many things. And I would not impose any of my politics on anyone. Your country, you decide immigration issues. Believe me, I too go back and forth inside myself on total ban to modest ban to limited ban on immigration. It’s complex issue. But… I do understand russian tactics and they are at war with you. This is beyond politics. Can’t you see what go on? Don’t let them manipulate your emotions or fears. Russia has only one truly totally destructive weapon: active measures. You can resist it. But you must first recognize you are being manipulated.

At 2:44 in this clip is a really striking exchange ⬇️ @RepEmiliaSykes: "Did you know that the United States was taking millions of gallons of oil from Iran?" Energy @SecretaryWright: "I’m unaware." Sykes asked Wright about this after President Trump vaguely explained it in the Oval Office this morning. Shortly after this Sykes-Wright exchange, Trump posted a more detailed explanation on Truth Social. Could it be possible that the U.S. Energy Secretary was unaware of an oil mission of this scale?

AOC: I imagine that Donald Trump is going to deny the results of any election that he loses because he can’t really bear the thought—the idea that he actually lost. And so I think we’ve already seen others since 2020, like Kari Lake in Arizona and many others, try to say, “Well, if I lost, it must be because it was made up.” And that’s just not the case. When you lose fair and square, you have to understand that that’s what happened, and we have to respect the will of voters. Just like when Democrats lose, you have to respect the will of voters as well.
