Tomorrow, my father and I will travel to northern Gaza on a difficult and uncertain journey, searching for a place to rent after being told that we must leave the shelter we are currently living in by the end of this week, as it will be rehabilitated and used again for students. We are now facing a harsh reality… we have no choice but to leave, even though we don’t know where we will go. We are four families, a total of 22 people, including children, women, and elderly individuals, simply trying to find a safe place to stay and avoid homelessness. This new displacement is incredibly difficult, especially as transportation costs have become extremely expensive—far higher than before—due to the ongoing crisis and lack of resources. As for rent, whether for land or a small apartment, it has become an overwhelming burden, far beyond our ability to afford, especially with no stable source of income and the dramatic rise in prices. We urgently need €1500 to cover transportation and secure a place to stay during this critical time. For us, this amount is not a luxury—it is a lifeline that can keep 22 people from ending up on the streets. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in the lives of these 22 people and give them a chance to live with dignity and safety in these extremely difficult conditions.
