I launched rentahuman.ai last night and already 130+ people have signed up including an OF model (lmao) and the CEO of an AI startup. If your AI agent wants to rent a person to do an IRL task for them its as simple as one MCP call.

@emollick Totally agree! There are some interesting directions to go with this to adapt to the rituals that people do together and invite the agents in. Screenshot of a vibe-generated possible kickoff meeting screen.

Command line & node-based interfaces are the default from the AI labs because so much AI work is focused on code But many professions besides programmers have their own process interfaces that would be amenable to AI: journeys and canvases and lab notebooks and war rooms and...

@kenneth0stanley It seems the evidence is against there being system 1/2 in human cognition which is interesting that we keep trying to apply this concept other areas. I've been really interested in the emergence of reasoning through discourse from this book: hup.harvard.edu/books/97806742…

There’s a lot of love right now for System 2 thinking in AI. But imagine if System 2 is overrated? It would be a classic deceptive trap. How could it be overrated? Well because if it becomes easier to make progress on it than on System 1, human nature will yearn to embrace it.

@IAmClintMurphy I'm not sure most of these are decision making tools as much as they are heuristics and common biases... Decision making can be simplified when we take a simple lens but then we can't understand the complicatedness or complexity that is more appropriate for other decisions.

@hnshah I've been thinking a lot about this while reading "The Problem with Change" and "The Friction Project" at the same time. Maybe the exceptional variation in our lives should be less and the ability to find meaning should be more?

I’ve been thinking about change lately. How we as humans know that change is constant and yet we resist it. Especially change that makes us uncomfortable. The kind that we can’t control. The kind we resist at first. How do you deal with uncontrollable change in your life?
