I have been thinking a lot about why we go into management roles, and how that informs our blind spots once we do. 🤔 I'm curious; which, if any, of these most closely resembles your primary motivation for becoming a manager. (None are inherently "better" reasons, IMO)

@LisboaYYC IMO we should be focussed on attracting talent to move here, investment will follow. The Premier definitely isn't helping in this regard.

Janis and any other LGBTQ+ person over 30, or anyone who has done a lit review on trans youth in schools could have told the UCP that bill 8 was a dumb idea and a death sentence for vulnerable teens. In fact, some of us did. But they did eagerly dance in a fountain to celebrate.

I remember when I started teaching in 2013 how shocked and appalled everyone was when high school classes crept over 40 students. It was on the news and there was public outcry. Nowadays it’s common practice and the UCP solution was to discontinue public reporting on class size.
