1. "Men deserve equal say in abortion decisions" Cool. Then show me where men: - Risk tearing vagina to anus during birth - Face 20% chance of lifelong incontinence - Can die from postpartum hemorrhage (800 women do daily, WHO) Until then, "equal say" is a fantasy. 2. Pregnancy isn’t a 50/50 split. - His contribution: 5 minutes, zero physical cost. - Hers:9 months of bodily invasion, plus permanent risks. You don’t get "equal" votes on a process you only spectate.

Most successful men have a wife. Most successful women are single. Most successful men tend to have a partner by their side. Many successful women, on the other hand, are often single. There’s a reason this pattern keeps showing up. A lot of men are able to thrive because they have consistent emotional, logistical, or household support that frees them to focus on their goals. Meanwhile, women who reach high levels of success are often expected to balance both their ambitions and traditional expectations at the same time. That imbalance can become draining. So some women choose peace over partnerships that feel more like added pressure than genuine support. It’s not that successful women don’t want love. They simply won’t settle for relationships that don’t align with the life they’ve worked so hard to build.

If you are frequently attacked when raising awareness for prescribed harm, DM me. I run groups dedicated to supporting victims on social media for this exact purpose.

You can’t ethically administer the right to die with dignity first ensuring the right to live with dignity. Many disabled people are told to consider MAiD when what they need is healthcare and social supports. That’s not compassion. That’s social murder.
Spin Decoders@leith1076

"Gauthier, who has been trying to get a wheelchair ramp installed at her home for the past five years, testified on Thursday that a caseworker told her that they could give her assisted dying, even offering to supply the MAID equipment for her." ctvnews.ca/politics/artic…

I am so glad the Scottish parliament voted down assisted dying. What this lady describes is exactly the kind of thing I feared. As a disabled person, who some would say, am a burden to the state, I can easily imagine a time when it would be expected of me to choose euthanasia.
Amanda Achtman@AmandaAchtman

Euthanasia is routinely offered to Canadian seniors unsolicited. Muriel says she was offered MAID: •By her family doctor •By a specialist •By a funeral home  “This is almost being advertised and promoted,” she told me. How do you think this makes seniors feel?

Baroness @Tanni_GT quotes actress Bethany Asher, a woman living with Down Syndrome, who fears that when her parents are no longer around, she could be pressured into assisted suicide for being seen as a burden on the health service.

Patriarchy keeps itself alive by pushing every woman into motherhood and then abandoning them. This is not a flaw. It is the system working exactly as designed. When you isolate women and exhaust them with endless domestic labor, you drain their power. That is how male rule is made to look "natural."

The entire problem with prescribed harm in regard to SSRIs, Finasteride and Accutane, is that it doesn’t happen to everyone equally. So those who are most severely harmed are told that their entire lives are byproducts for the greater good. This is not ethical.

Questioning psychiatry can’t be anti-science because: 1) science is supposed to be questioned (with logical arguments) 2) psychiatry is not science. Doctors prescribing pills based on a theory shown to be hogwash long ago. Voting about diagnosis. That’s not science.
Dr. Roger McFillin@DrMcFillin

Students are taught that questioning psychiatric orthodoxy is anti-science. Residents learn to see human suffering through the lens of DSM categories and pharmacological solutions. Young therapists are trained to validate diagnoses rather than explore the possibility of growth through difficulty. And we wonder why nothing is getting better.

Before lobotomies were societally accepted as inhumane, they were also vehemently defended as necessary for saving lives. Remember this when you are being attacked for spreading awareness of prescribed harm.

Being autistic means that when someone is openly being a piece of shit to you, the second you clap back with a fraction of that energy you'll be labeled the aggressor and the one in the wrong It doesn't matter what they did to you, your "passive aggressiveness" is somehow worse.

Informed consent requires: - understanding risks - right to refuse - voluntary, non-manufactured agreement Kids put on psychiatric meds typically get: - zero choice - risks often hidden or minimized - punished or pathologized for refusing Informed consent is literally not a thing for one of the largest and most lucrative markets for psychiatry.

A country will legalise euthanasia, with carefully written restrictions. People will support, because without further thought it feels like a good idea. And then the law will be changed, more people will be included to qualify for euthanasia. As has already happened.

I have witnessed this first hand 😔 a woman with dementia kept getting referred to me for difficulty swallowing. It was bc she was clearly over medicated on anti-psychotics. I kept telling the staff over and over that this was why + she needed med adjustment. Was ignored.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost

U.S. nursing homes are fabricating schizophrenia diagnoses to hide their use of dangerous antipsychotic drugs to subdue dementia patients, a government watchdog report found. The drugs increase risk of falls, strokes and death. wapo.st/4tfSUsr

@disrespectcrow Yeah just because there’s no evidence of the biomarkers, we don’t know what they are, and we can’t measure them, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t diagnose people based on these not-found biomarkers 🤪

@cyclite Explain to me how we can clearly observe someone with consistent "schizophrenic" symptoms, then? Just because technology hasn't caught up with measuring what's in the brain over how it presents doesn't mean it's wrong. The problem is regular MDs making psych calls
