@realBruceSnyder Seems like this is going to be more in line with a guided missile battle cruiser, a replacement for the Ticonderoga class?
3 VLS cells, 3 cannons, Laser CWIS, helicopter deck?

President Trump announces the U.S. Navy is ordering several new Trump-class warships, with the first being the USS Defiant.
POTUS: As Commander-in-Chief, it's my great honor to announce that I've approved a plan for the Navy to begin the construction of two brand new very large battleships... They'll be the fastest, the biggest, and by far — 100x more powerful than any battleship ever built.

🇺🇸🇯🇵 80 YEARS AGO TODAY: HIROSHIMA
On August 6, 1945, the U.S. dropped the first atomic bomb used in war - “Little Boy” - on the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
The blast, equal to 15,000 tons of TNT, obliterated nearly 70% of the city. An estimated 140,000 people died by the end of that year, many within seconds.
Half of those within 1.2 km of ground zero were killed instantly. Near the hypocenter, survival was almost zero.
Thousands more would die in the years that followed - not from fire or debris, but from the slow, invisible damage of radiation: cancer, leukemia, organ failure.
It was the beginning of the nuclear age - and a wound history still hasn’t closed.

🇯🇵 HIROSHIMA SURVIVOR 80 YEARS LATER Toshiyuki Mimaki was just three when the U.S. dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Decades later, his survival became a mission. Last year, Mimaki was among a group of survivors recognized with the Nobel Peace Prize for their lifelong work promoting nuclear disarmament. Source: Sky News
