Extremely surprising news from Red Bull: Remco Evenepoel will skip the Fleche Wallonne. Yes, for me this news is very surprising. I thought now that he has won both Amstel and Liege in his career, he wants to try to win the last one, but they said that skipping the race allows him to save that extra bit of energy for the Liege monument which is so much more important, and avoid unnecessary fatigue or risk of injury in that race. I get it, a little bit, that he is not much built for the race with that steep wall, but I still hoped he would try, especially considering many big names like Pogačar, Del Toro, Pidcock, Healy, Christen, etc. will miss it. So what does this mean for the race itself? The door is now wide open, and the list of favourites suddenly feels a lot more unpredictable. Or is it really wide open with Paul Seixas starting? Skjelmose, Johannessen, Schmid, Ciccone, or Frenchman's Vauquelin, Martinez, Gregoire, or Godon will try to challenge him. Who is your bet? For me now Paul Seixas dominant win. 📷: 100percentbike
