@jericho6996 @JonFraserTF I bet you would not say that to my face, asshole.

@antoniospiezia @cloutierrose You forgot one:
You can live in MTL your whole life and still get by without speaking a word of French !

The Montreal Renaissance is real.
The Habs are ridiculously good.
The Expos spark is back.
The food scene is booming.
The coffee culture is top tier.
The bagels...never better.
The tech ecosystem is bouncing back.
The animation scene is back (just won an Oscar)
The history, unmatched.
Bullish on this city.🚧

We had takeout for lunch yesterday in Paris from a place called Homer Lobster. It was fantastic food and right around the corner, but what first drew me to it was that all of the signage was in English.
I asked them why and the manager said "because Lobster rolls are a North American thing, so we went with English because it sounds right".
Every sign including their help wanted sign was in English with a little French mixed in here and there. The French are confident in themselves and don't have language police like in Quebec to contend with. Interesting.

@jean_carleton That's interesting, because Blanchet doesn't believe that. He said Quebec would require an economic union with Canada to be viable.
You may have lots of natural resources, but your province is run by eco nutbars who refuse to exploit them.

@JonFraserTF I just tweeted a poll.
Please share to see if people agree with me.
BTW, even ultra-federalists like Jean Charest acknowledge that an independant QC would be economically viable. We have plenty of natural ressources.
English

@jean_carleton How? Absolutely nothing would change, except Quebec would be financially ruined.

@JonFraserTF And I repeat: French is not threatened of disappearing in France, unlikeable in Canada.
English

@JonFraserTF I sincerely doubt that they operate solely in English.
