I’m new here, and I’m already tired of posts that simply say “look at me building”, but not talking about / showing what they’re building, nor what they’re learning. I’ll start - a current project of mine is a personal reflection system for traders. It’s reminded me that designing naturally coherent workflow systems *from a blank slate* is not something that is easy. I spent a lot of time arguing with myself over how the system should be. Frustrated, I went back to basics, opened Figma, and really nailed down every single flow. After 3 past design iterations that just didn’t seem right, it finally clicked. It only took a few hours, but it’s completely invaluable. Sometimes, even when you’re frantically busy adding new features, it’s best to step back and gain clarity on how things have evolved. I’m happy to say that this will probably be the last major system redesign until release.
