@St1ka @Quirrel__ Ocarina was quite clearly the first proper implementation of a lock on system in a 3D action game. All the 3D games before it were janky as fuck. Tomb Raider was pure jank. The auto aim "lock on" system was there to try to make it playable.

He is, for all intents and purposes, a great documentarian when he shuts the fuck up and lets the game speak for itself while focusing directly on the themes of the game and not projecting his own personal problems with the world into the medium of Video games. In that respect, he's just like every other games journalist that's been spurned by the greater public in the last 10 years. Fuck him. some people like to victimize themselves, some are incapable of taking criticism to the point of fixating only on the negatives and ignoring the rest people are free to do what they want, of course, but screencapping neg. steam reviews to shame your potential customers for clout and then reacting to that on a separate platform where you are "less professional" and blocking any criticism of said behavior is very ironic, sad, and may be a red flag for the type of community management to come (read: toxic positivity only) either way, it's not a good first impression - not for people that like your game, and neither for potential customers - let community do the talking for you! you can't force a person to like your game, so arguing with other people that your game is good is a fool's errand - instead focus on making a good game the other thing is feeling entitled to a 90%+ rating is just silly - no one is owed a 90%+ review rating! barring steam review bombs, your game gets exactly the rating that befits it and represents the overall sentiment from everyone that has played it his defaulting to mocking and blocking in the face of non-PG word usage is indicative of either inexperience (in which case don't blame him for it, we've all been there!) or a taste of what the community has in store when it comes to moderation of his games either way, i hope that my assessment is completely incorrect and i wish the best to him and his game - we all make mistakes and that's ok just don't shame your customers on places like X, because at some point people will get tired of it, and it has already backfired for several people in the form of review bombs, which does nothing but wreck your nerves

There's something kind of funny how we all tried to predict the protagonists that would cameo in RE9 yet it turned into a villain palooza. We got Hunk, Nemesis, Mr X and freaking Wesker instead of any heroes. It was honestly a pleasant surprise.
