@DeriveXYZ I thought I was doing this correctly but apparently not, as I've never seen the *HYPE Covered Call" in the Settlement Tab, only the USDC payout. So you need to setup a subaccount?

Hype Covered Call with cash settlement A HYPE holder on Derive pocketed $14,425 USDC in yield today without selling a single HYPE token. They sold cash-settled covered calls, meaning they posted HYPE as collateral, and because HYPE did not go past $45, they collected the premiums.

You own HYPE. You believe in Jeff. You are not selling. Pick a strike and a date (price and time you think HYPE won't go past). Sell a call option using your HYPE as collateral. You are saying, if HYPE rips past a certain price by a certain date, the buyer gets the upside above that price. In return, they pay you cash today. HYPE stays below the price, you keep the cash (premium) AND the HYPE. Example. HYPE at $40. You sell the $50 call expiring in 7 days, collect around $1.20 per HYPE in USDC. End of week, HYPE at $45. Option expires worthless, you keep every cent, you still own all your HYPE.

Some options traders are actively looking to buy ETH gamma and are quoting aggressively on Derive - for those interested, you can get really competitive pricing. Order book depth has improved significantly as well. For larger trades, use RFQ to get direct quotes from MMs. Derive = best liquidity/pricing for permissionless options trading.
