Hangwani Maumela, has not yet been charged in the ongoing investigation into R2 billion looted from Tembisa Hospital. This was confirmed recently by Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi. Last year, the SIU and Asset Forfeiture Unit siezed 11 luxury cars and 8 mansions, with a total value of R520 million. Question is: why has the state not formally charged him yet for his role in all the fraud and corruption at Tembisa Hospital. Could it be because of his former family ties with Cyril Ramaphosa?
