Twitter was once the greatest thing in the world. Oh well. Is this kind of outcome inevitable when a resource is owned by private individuals or governments, instead of communally? Probably. Anyway, I'm gone from here for now. Find me on Mastodon or Bluesky, both thriving.

@EmanuelDerman @octonion Too much to say here, but first thing is to decide on price range. That will narrow things down. Digital is much easier to deal with than film. Most digital cameras will come with a stock zoom lens (which covers a range of focal lengths) that should be good enough for beginners.

I was given this glove for my hand injury. It doesn't seem to have helped at all, but I'm going to start wearing it all the time because it allows me to avoid shaking hands with people, which is now unbelievably painful.

Excited to be seeing Tati's "Playtime" on the biiiig screen (BAM) tonight. It's surely one of the most meticulously staged and photographed films ever made, absolutely awe-inspiring.
