the carousel of crippling bugs and top-down policy of "simcluster obliteration" just push me to that next level, just the type of beast that I am
teak@tikalteacall

@norvid_studies only gives me the motivation to post harder 🫡

@Kekkama97 @neet_sol Or we could do away with colleges (a failed system) and megacorporations (also a failed system) and go back to CEOs knowing all of their employees personally and ensuring the 15-year-old apprentices are actually trained

@neet_sol What we need is to rework the college system so that way it produces graduates that have the skill sets needed to do the job they will be hired for.

Should I just assume every company is buying/extorting user reviews now? I hardly ever see anything rated less than 4 stars.

@AGLabBear @teortaxesTex that debate and the reaction to it is one of the worst epistemic shitshows I've ever seen P(A|B) >>> P(A|^B) and every argument from Miller is a street fighter move that has to stack with the previous one scott clearly just likes miller more but people are so credulous

The specific mutation in the earliest specimens was really not very likely to be the result of deliberate human activity: astralcodexten.com/p/practically-… Against this is the obvious, the lab was so close, and these things often turn out to be labs (Sverdlovsk '79, etc.) even when no one suspects that.

Actually insane how it just disappeared off the radar. Maybe top 3 shitshow of the century. Was there or wasn't there a lab leak? I'm not aware of any concrete evidence against a leak. Given the geopolitics, why isn't the US pressing for recognition of it? Fauci culpability?
Derek Pederson 🇺🇸🇺🇦🇻🇪@DerekPederson3

The lab leak theory is genuinely just one of the most delusional consensuses in history. It’s substantially more improbable than the theory that Trump legitimately won the 2020 election and yet it is treated by everyone other than a select few as plausible or even likely.

Dude we are not going to have Software as a Service 90% margins circle jerking each other forever. We're going to have software as a combination Spaceship and Torah that your people maintain and upgrade for generations unknown. Software as a City. Software as a Planet

My female beetle had been stuck under a piece of wood for 4 days. I observed my male trying to free her multiple times, going as far as nearly breaking his horn for her. If beetles are automata without any consciousness, what could possibly lead him to do this? Which instincts?

the skill of imagining the chubbyemu video about your current anxiety to make yourself laugh it off is sort of like the skill of imagining the TLP post about your current insecurity to make yourself cringe it off: immensely powerful but accessible only to the already-enlightened

all men's clothing sold by Target looks suspiciously humiliating why is everything pastel-colored? why are all the sleeves and shorts legs just slightly too short to code as masculine?

if you're going to write a comic book that leans heavily on the imagery of "Superman covered in blood", you had better learn how to draw "Superman covered in blood" it's not soaked in. if the suit is waterproof, this is ketchup. a fresh liquid splatter would look airbrushed
