It’s unfair and honestly a bit cruel to have oral exams during the holidays. Should be kept to term time. Weekends should also be off limits.

Parents aren't angry enough about this. The AACs undermine the assessment integrity and rigour of the Leaving Cert. It will be too late for parents to complain when their offspring is denied a place studying Vet/Medicine in the UK/EU.

@ciaraquill Parents are informed enough nor angry enough about this. I raised this issue on our Oide day, and the response (repeated to several others) was .. "That's a conversation that needs to be had at the time." I'm relieved to be retiring next year.

I said it before & I’ll say it again, teachers of Gaeilge & MFL should never have agreed to holding Leaving Cert oral exams during Easter holidays. As a result, this will be a permanent feature of the exam calendar. LC Music practicals are now back on during term time 🤷🏻‍♀️#edchatie

My hands are shaking so badly I can barely type and can't see the keys with the tears. Someone who wishes to remain unknown has bought a laptop for me to edit my photos. It arrived yesterday but my son just dropped it in when he was dropping his gf to work.
