Random lessons I learned building YouTube Shorts channels over 4 years: - If you get 3 videos with zero views in a row, move onto a new channel. - Don't enter competitive niches as a carbon copy. Always have your own spin. - Learn to make viral videos yourself before outsourcing. You can't quality control what you don't understand. - Don't outsource too fast but don't refuse to outsource at all. Remember that editing is low leverage work. - Pay editors well and add bonuses. Cheap editors are expensive when they disappear every 3 months. - Shiny object syndrome will kill your progress. - When momentum is high, double down immediately. A few big months can set you up for the year. - Consistency is necessary. If you break the streak once and it becomes easier to break again. - The hook is everything. A great video with a bad hook is a wasted video. - Saturated niches don't exist, only saturated formats do. - Never post and pray. Crack a format through data so you know what will work. - Study recent competitor outliers not old ones. What worked 2 years ago is irrelevant. - The ending matters as much as the hook. Always give viewers a satisfying payoff.

preciso desabafar aqui... uma das PIORES sensações de ser criador é isso aqui... Entrar no seu canal com 10, 20, 50K de inscritos e ver seus vídeos indo SUPER MAL e você não saber o que fazer. não é o título que é ruim, não é a edição que não prende e também não é a thumb que não é chamativa o suficiente o pior de tudo pra mim, é ser conhecido como "o cara que conhece todo mundo/amigo de fulano". Se eu gravo sozinho o vídeo vai mal, se eu não gravo com a Frogg o vídeo vai mal, se eu chamo um criador pequeno pra gravar comigo o vídeo vai mal... o Youtube querendo ou não é minha principal fonte de renda galera, pra vocês terem uma noção, todo o dinheiro que eu ganho com o canal vai pra editor e thumbmaker, LITERALMENTE não sobra nada pra mim, mas do que adianta sabe? enfim, as vezes é sobre não ser bom o suficiente e tá tudo bem 😕

Also, if you're a gaming creator, MAKE A MOVIES CHANNEL. Here's an old screenshot of one I launched for a creator. $50 cost per video. $15 average RPM. Re-using the same videos multiple times. $16k in profit for doing next to nothing. (this was about 1 month after launching)
