The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of William Opoku, popularly alias Father Blessing, in connection with a series of car snatching robberies and vehicle theft cases in the Ashanti Region. The suspect was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation at Ahwiaa near Kumasi, where police uncovered hideouts linked to his gang. He reportedly confessed to several vehicle thefts and led officers to recover a stolen Toyota Corolla. He also admitted involvement in an attack on a police officer that resulted in the theft of an AK-47 rifle and ammunition.
