After 7 years I’ve finally published my masters thesis! We used observational data to help understand the suitability of Arctic habitat for sperm and northern bottlenose whales. Thanks to all who were involved esp my co-authors and funders. @jeffwhigdon @uwiceland

1/5 We’re excited to share that @FishOceansCAN has announced the establishment of the Eastern Canyons Marine Refuge. This new fisheries closure offshore of NS, east of Sable Island Gully, will protect fragile deep-sea corals and associated ocean life from bottom fishing.
