How hard is it to navigate China while not speaking the language but looking like you should absolutely know how to apeak the language?

@gonecozycrafts @cyanidesugar_ Depends where you're going? I went to Shanghai and Shenzhen. More people in Shenzhen speak english, but basically nobody in Shanghai spoke english. Google translate is pretty helpful though and you should be able to get by with it 🙂

CXC build is making progress. Waiting for PCBs to arrive still. One batch of magnets came in noticeably weaker but will work. I'll have to tighten up supply chain and vendors for the next round 😔 hopefully pcbs arrive soon!

IPA VOCs definitely. If I'm running a distillation cycle or doing a LOT of work with IPA outside of my fume hood then I'll use my VOC respirator. Otherwise if I'm just pulling parts off a build plate, throwing them into the wash inside my fume hood, I don't think it's necessary...but I could be wrong...ping me again in 20 years and see if I'm still kicking 🫠

@emberprototypes Agree ventilation is key. I don't know if we know enough about the cumulative long-term respiratory effects of resin and IPA VOCs though to be confident enough to not use an organic VOC cartridge mask.

I finally got an electrician to come power this thing...how many more months will it take me to actually fire it on some metal? 😅🫠😭

@gonzalaga If you have good ventilation you don't really need additional PPE. I'm wearing gloves, extremely clean and not removing supports here. The white t shirt and nice clothes is for internet points though 😂
