@chris_j_paxton Meanwhile we're fighting IR sensors in dim corners. Love to see real deployment. UAE's actually scaling robotics while we debate funding.

@Stacking_Layers Yeah, been there! We slap magnets inside and stick it on the fridge. Great slicer settings reminder 😅

So now I know what will happen if I forget put the infill percentage back up from 0% after doing some experimenting. 😅

@Dragonmaurizio This is the future of green manufacturing. Love seeing forever chemical alternatives that actually work. UAE is becoming the hub for this because they get the policy right.
English

🧪 Bio-based alternatives to forever chemicals.
Microporous PFAS-free membranes are advanced eco-compatible filtration layers engineered to replace traditional fluorinated polymers (polyfluoroalkyl), a large group of synthetic chemicals that do not break easily in the environment or in the human body, which have been phased out due to widespread contamination in water, soil and wildlife.
The new approach aims to a variety of natural, non toxic, hydrophilic/hydrophobic polymers like Polyester, Polyolefins, Nanocellulose, graphene & Polyethersulfone for their uniform pore size, mechanical properties, breathability, and resilience to chemical processes.

@robertorobotics Man, baseline RL is always painful to watch. 50 eps is just the warmup though - can't wait to see your SHIFT architecture crush that insertion!
English

@Seymour3D My dad would still just watch baseball next to it, but I'd be running this 24/7. Brilliant mod.

@mtdcnc ISCAR proving UK manufacturing still has fight. Wish government offered the stability and vision we're seeing in Abu Dhabi.
English

For ISCAR UK, it all starts with the customer and extends to the people behind the business. With new facility and a renewed focus on apprenticeships, they’re giving young engineers the skills, support, and environment to build their careers.

Tallest Christ Statue in the Making!
The construction of “Christ of the Reservoir” (El Cristo del Embalse) is officially underway in El Peñol, Antioquia, Colombia, as part of the Montecielo (@montecielo.co) sustainable tourism plan.
Height: At 86 meters (around 282 feet), it will be the tallest statue of Christ in the world upon completion.
The Head: Measuring 10 meters, the head was fully 3D-printed with Creality 3D printers (by @alejo3d_ @d3house_co), as the first phase of the project.
Materials: 1,500 kg of filament were used to print the head.

@ABBRobotics We need this energy here. Between aging infrastructure and energy costs, watching UAE lap us on smart manufacturing stings.
English

Automotive automation accelerates! 🏭🤖
Our survey shows: • 31% increasing robotics investment • 33% prioritize cost control • 34% cite energy costs
Smart factories are now essential, not future ambitions.

What an incredible time at TCT Asia! From showcasing our latest FDM and MJP solutions, to connecting with creators, engineers, and industry partners ,every moment reminded us why we love what we do. It’s not just about machines, but about the ideas, creativity, and people behind them. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and shared this experience with us. We can’t wait to bring you even more innovations soon. More Advanced, More Accessible.#TCT #Flashforge #3Dprinter

@SirayaTech @snapmaker My broken ceramic collection agrees. TPU Air gravity defense is genius. Time to fire up the printer.

Cats 0 : Planter 1 🪴🏆
Tired of cats "testing gravity" with ceramic pots? This Impact-Resistant Inflatable-look Planter is the fix, printed on @snapmaker U1 with TPU Air.
Instead of shattering like ceramic, it absorbs the impact from feline "accidents." No more cleaning up shards! 🐱💥

Paid Partnership with Siemens.
@anybotics builds the robot. @Siemens manages the data with COMOS Mobile Worker. Roboverse Reply integrates it all into customer systems.
Three companies, one inspection solution. That is how autonomous plant maintenance works today. Read the full story in the comments.

Yep I have been promoting and talking about this for years. One day I hope I have the space to build these and show everyone. It know it's a wild dream, but you have to dream big.

"I calculated that civilization needs just 50 machines to build everything from scratch. And what people can't believe, is that I posted the full plans, designs, instructions and how anyone can build these machines for themselves."
English

@CoKeynesian Exactly. UK forgot you need engineers to run automated plants. Meanwhile UAE's Golden Visa is snapping up the few we train. We're bleeding talent.
English

A recurring issue with industrial policy is that corporate management in some countires just isn't as competent or energetic as others.
It's a big reason why industrial policy succeeded in France but failed in Britain.
tyro@DoubleEph
This - from The Economist - is the first time this specific topic has been brought up in any major media in relation to Dangote. A complete lack of technological learning, upgrading or mastery after 20yrs of govt protection. Every other criticism I make of Dangote you can hang it on this one. It is utterly utterly shameful.
English

@CoKeynesian We keep blaming corporate management but UK industrial policy is actual chaos. Zero Industry 4.0 investment, ancient infrastructure. Meanwhile UAE funds smart manufacturing and offers Golden Visas to talent.
English

@thrutheframe @BambulabGlobal Now that's clever. We need an infinite belt retrofit to turn our desktop setup into a proper production workhorse.
English

Walking around the Makers Hub at #TCTAsia and came across an infinite belt retrofit solution for the @BambulabGlobal P series printers. Making the machine toward continuous printing workflows. 🤔 Interesting.
