The construction of “Christ of the Reservoir” (El Cristo del Embalse) is officially underway in El Peñol, Antioquia, Colombia, as part of the Montecielo (@montecielo.co) sustainable tourism plan. Height: At 86 meters (around 282 feet), it will be the tallest statue of Christ in the world upon completion. Though in this case, I do wonder how the Chinese education system's ability to churn out hordes of competent engineers plays a role.

A recurring issue with industrial policy is that corporate management in some countires just isn't as competent or energetic as others. It's a big reason why industrial policy succeeded in France but failed in Britain.
