The President is threatening to destroy Iran's electric grid, oil wells, and (with an exclamation point) "possibly all desalination plants." That's drinking water for 90 million people. He's talking about cutting off a civilian population's access to water and electricity in the tone of a man leaving a Yelp review. "Our lovely stay." "Thank you for your attention to this matter." These are human lives. Families. Children who have nothing to do with any of this. Destroying desalination plants isn't a military operation. It's collective punishment on a scale that could kill more civilians than the war itself. And he announced it like a policy update. There was a time when threatening to cut off a nation's water supply would have been met with universal horror. Now it gets an exclamation point and a sign-off. It's casual and cruel. What Trump is describing, is doing to 90 million Iranians what Israel has done to Gaza.
