I’m really glad X decided to do something about the aggregators and clickbait. People realized they didn’t actually have to create any content to make money. Not only did it fill the timeline with unnecessary clickbait slop, it took away from those actually creating content.

@FixingEducation My kids HAVE to take fruit. So in the middle school lunchroom every child has an unwanted projectile/figit toy art project. The teachers spend an inordinate amount of time policing fruit-related behavior of the children who HAVE to take the fruit.

I swear 75% of my students are running on Hot Cheetos, Takis, and 3–5 energy drinks a day. That’s not just a bad habit, it’s a real problem. Poor nutrition in childhood doesn’t just affect the body, it impacts brain development, focus, and long-term health.🧠

There are two different worlds on this app. Improvements over the past couple months have been obvious. The slop is being contained, and real people are breaking through. I’ve noticed it slowly getting better every single day. Keep it up @nikitabier

@Grummz I disagree. X was better for the masses before monetization.

From a game design perspective, its pretty simple. The dopamine hit from having instant reaction to your posts associated a reward with the action. Removing the realtime aspect to 24 hour later (yes, its that slow now), kills the positive reinforcement to post. Building an audience was your XP bar, and the higher you leveled, the more reach you had. The more reach you had, the more you wanted to post. X can't thrive on people just posting original content. You need to motivate *everyone* to talk about stuff (without being paid). Those non-financial incentives are very eroded right now.

You will, eventually, see a lot more original content. Small accounts could not break through in the old algorithm. For the past 2 years, the best content on X has been in the comment sections.

I think it’s actually happening.. @nikitabier and X might finally start rewarding people like myself who put real effort into creating content. Wildlife photography is no joke, I’m Kris from Alaska and I’ve stood amongst natures biggest beasts.

I mean its pretty genius what x is doing because they just won’t have to pay anyone out and they will hope the creators will stay because they aren’t going to leave their fanbase

For years I’ve been making my own mattresses from foam made from soybean oil. It costs about $200 for the foam pieces. I then use ploy fill rolls to give it some pillow-top feeling and I have a guy in Turkey hand make the outer encasement with handles and zipper all the way around. Lastly I finish it off with a two foot needle and hemp string to give it all of those puffy spots. Then the icing is a water proof cotton wrapper. Almost 100% organic materials. 100% non-toxic. Zero smell. Total? $500 Example of one I was working on, plastic to keep cats off.
