Changing Places Toilets (CPT) offer a vital facility for people with disabilities and their families and carers whose needs cannot be met through standard accessible toilet provision.

Changing Places toilets are absolutely vital for thousands of people in Scotland. We need so more of these life changing facilities. There are still huge gaps in provision particularly across the Highlands and islands. Read more about how budget cuts have affected CPT funding:

It was recently confirmed that the Scottish Government would “seek to reprofile the commencement of the #ChangingPlaces toilet fund” as part of an £18.8million reduction to the mental health budget for financial years 2024/2025. Read more here: pamis.org.uk/news/news/chan…

Have been waiting on this news coming since the 2021 pledge of £10m. The lack of progress and implementation has been telling. Words can't even describe how disappointed and angry I am with @SNP. Disabled people and families failed yet again #ExcLOOsion

Today is changing places awareness day. @ChangingPlacesI have made lots of progress and their advocacy has led to significant changes in legislation. Every public building should have one, every shopping centre, every library, every town and village. The difference they make to people's lives is immeasurable. @aarondalydub

@pamis_scotland worked with @networkrailscot on the plans for a new #ChangingPlaces toilet at Troon Railway Station. This has now been installed in the new station building and will be registered and ready for users soon. Details to follow when open. Great news! #CPAD2024

About 6yrs ago we approached @falkirkcouncil to highlight there was zero #ChangingPlaces in Falkirk. They listened and formed a steering group that @Bairnybridge and @LauraRutherford and I have been partners in since the beginning. We now have 6 with more planned. #Grateful
