@davidr1984edin Yes, your ticket will be accepted on Avanti or Transpennine Express services to Glasgow and then Scotrail services to Edinburgh. ^Charlotte

@TPExpressTrains my train from Manchester Piccadilly to Edinburgh at 14.26 has been cancelled due to faults on the electric overhead lines. Will my tickets be valid on the east coast line , as there's not much alternative up the west coast line if it's not fixed?

@TPExpressTrains Thank you. Is there anything that can be done? E.g. declassifying first class. I can't get on another train as I need to get home. It's rather uncomfortable and has just got busier at Wigan North Western.

@TPExpressTrains Is it reasonable to expect customers to stand? I’m on the 10:12 from Liverpool Lime Street and asked the conductor whether any seats were available. His response was: “It’s the first one out - it’s always busy.”

@Violet2b_ @thetrainline Because your service has been cancelled between Manchester and Preston you should be able to board an alternative service to Preston. I would advise speaking with staff when you arrive at the station later ^LCM

Huge shout out to the conductor on the @TPExpressTrains 10:19 service from Urmston to LPL Lime Street. Dealt with a difficult situation very very very well!

If the ticket has been used to travel on an alternative service a refund request will be rejected. A refund can only be applied for if the ticket was not used. If used, but delay was incurred, more than 15 minutes, arriving at the final destination then Delay Repay compensation should be applied for. ^Kate

@Wallsy2k @TPEassist @TPExpressTrains You only claim delay repay after you travel, after you arrive at your destonation. What you need to instead is claim a refund request

@TPEassist @TPExpressTrains your service is a joke. Service to Liverpool Street 11:05 to Manchester - cancelled Service from Manchester 18:44 - cancelled. Your piss poor webpage to claim compo has no detail of cancelled train as the expected arrival date is in the future!
