I am reading the whole Bible this year and I have entered the long, grueling journey that is Leviticus. This is the elephant graveyard of optimistic read through the Bible in a year enthusiasts. If you need to know specific information about skin rashes, I've got you.

@BethMooreLPM I do this very thing too because you taught us! It’s my favorite thing, in addition to scripture memory. Remember those siesta scripture memory days? I’m still in it, Ms. Beth! These practices are some of my very favorite. Thank you for them. A seed well planted. 🥰

I’m so sorry I do these long things. Not sorry enough to stop apparently but I do feel a little dumb when I do it because I know y’all are rolling your eyes. Lol. Now, listen. I by no means have this spiritual thing down. I’m on my faith journey like everyone else. But I want so much for people to know and truly enjoy the Lord. He’s the joy of my life and I simply do not know where I’d be without him. I love to hear from others concerning practices that enrich their walk with God. Thought I’d offer something I’ve done for many years in case it kindles an idea for a person looking for an approach. I write a letter to the Lord in a fresh journal on the first day of January, recounting the previous year and recording my hopes for the coming year. (1st pic, for an example, from the first day of 2025.) Then on the last day of that year, I read it again and thumb through that year’s journal and marvel at all Jesus has walked my family through. All the answered prayer. Also all that was answered dramatically differently than I asked. I record births, deaths. Illnesses, recoveries. Celebratory news. Sorrowful news. Big world or national events and day to day stuff like asking God to help a grandkid with Algebra. LIFE. I offer this in case you’re searching for something different this year. My initial letter to the Lord is in long hand but I shorthand the daily entries. I’ve included the page (2nd pic) I arranged after trying this and that. It works best for me but it’s truly a matter of personal taste. The “interaction” section simply means I’m reading my Bible entry for that day and responding to the Lord concerning it. God talks through Scripture. I talk back. No verbiage to describe how valuable it is to me to look back at years of journals. This I can tell you based on the authority of the Scriptures and the lifelong experiences of a wobbly walking 68 year old woman who can’t remember the first time she heard the name “Jesus,” if you will come to the Lord earnestly with even the smallest flicker of faith and a fraction of a heart to walk with him, God will take it, grow it and be so faithful to you. Journal in bits and pieces, keeping record of your journey with him starting tomorrow and get to next December 31st, thumb back through it and behold his goodness and faithfulness, and, yes, his inscrutable ways. I hope this helps somebody!

And then she wrote I heart Bibby in the dirt with a stick. (My grandmother name given me by my oldest grandson.) I’m the luckiest.

Nothing on earth like a walk in the woods with an elementary school-age girl. We cover about 10 subjects per mile &, oh, the emotions. She’s told me jokes but spared me no woes. Noodles, her pet spider, has passed. This I was told with her head hanging. And, yes, I almost cried.

Ecstatic to be on my way to the airport to fly to NYC to speak at Times Square Church this weekend. Extra happy because my Amanda & her 2 girls are connecting in Hou from MO so I can take them with me. Neither granddaughter’s ever been. My namesake’s 16 & will love it! I can’t wait!

@realspitfire I have wondered about so many of the young people he debated on campuses. This is so beautiful yet so sad to see. I pray the Lord raises this young girl up to be a mighty force for His Kingdom.

@BethMooreLPM We understand Pecos. We are like you in so many ways. So precious, so gentle, so smart, and then can be so bad all in a matter of seconds.

I often see the sweetest sights on my walks before work. Well, I also see poisonous snakes and half-eaten critters, the latter of which Pecos usually carries with us while I holler at the top of my lungs, DROP IT! But for such a naughty puppy, Pecos can also be a very good girl.

@BethMooreLPM I loved learning about her, experiencing her, seeing her at Deeper Still. What a gift she was to us all.

I’ve never known an individual more devoted to the Lord or to the tireless, faithful teaching of Scripture than Kay Arthur. She is now at the feet of her Redeemer, looking up at the radiant face of the One she has loved with her whole being. Thank you, Kay. You were unmatched.

Our sweet baby Pecos got snake bitten. Keith got her to the vet immediately. We feel like she’ll be OK but her face is so swollen & she’s disoriented & crying. (They gave her pain meds) Didn’t see the snake but it happened in our backyard. I hate this part of living in the woods.

@BethMooreLPM Reason 9834 why we love our pups. Their affections are really no different than ours.

Y’all, Pecos piled up her favorite toys then climbed on the couch where she could stare at them. My favorite part is the spoon in the center. I’d let her lick some leftover peanut butter off of it after I’d made myself a sandwich for lunch and she obviously put it with her toys.

This is one happy home this morning!!! Pecos & I’ll post more later when we’re more awake. They got home about 12:30 AM and we were too excited to sleep. She and I got up for coffee & now we’re going back to bed! (That loud roar is to drown out snores of a certain person not pictured)

Beside myself. Keith heads to North Texas today to pick Pecos up from bird dog school. It’s been 2 months! I never would’ve agreed to this! Keith said 1 month knowing full well it would be 2! Lied to protect his post-op wife!Which is why I haven’t divorced him. But man was I mad.
